My son who works for NHS emergency services said yesterday that testing stations were set up in Sheffield, where you pulled up with your car, tested, your mobile number taken & result sent to you in over a hour
342 new cases in the UK so far reported today, so still accelerating . 10 new UK deaths from the virus today, according to "Worldometer" website. BBC also reporting similar figures.

Where I live, we had the first reported case in the US just over 7 weeks ago, the first reported death in the US 2 weeks ago and as of yesterday cases were at around 500 and deaths 25. As I put on Crash's thread which I closed, we had the first report of a co-worker testing positive yesterday.
US travel ban now extended to UK and Ireland.
Looks like Nigel Pearson could be right in what he was saying, judging by today's new coronavirus case figures
So then which of you lot over 70 intend to self isolate yourself for 3 months to protect yourself from the corona virus, That means no leaving home and even distancing yourself from relatives. Imagine what your physical and mental state will be like after that time?
Why not chuck all owd feckers in jail and have done with it! Nowt gets done for weeks then the tories come out with this beauty. Talk about a sledge hammer to crack a nut.
I'm not 70 but I would not self isolate for 3 months even if the bubonic plague was knocking about.
Then of course there is the small matter of chickens comin home to roost because they suddenly realise that the NHS is not gonna cope with this when they have been underfunding it for years and it barely operates on a basic basis anyway.
I feckin despair.

Don't forget that British governments for many years have told us that we have the medical facilities to cope with nuclear war, biological attack, etc, and told us not to worry.... so this coronavirus should be a doddle, as long as you wash your hands a bit more often than usual.
If you believe that...
