we messed around for 2/3 weeks while we could have actively been finding / negotiating with players - players been plural so if we got knocked back we can move on having time to approach others plus we would also have had time on our side to integrate players into our squad if we did sign them.

But army, we weren't finding and negotiating with players early in the window because we never intended to buy any players in this window, we couldn't, because we had no money to spend on players, we were potless. It wasn't until Wood jumped ship to Newcastle and £25 million fell unexpectedly into our laps that we could become active.

So while I agree that we did feck all about signing anyone in the first two weeks, to be fair there was no point looking at players, there was no money to sign anyone, so why bother.

even more important to get him after losing out on Orsic....especially unfortunate being it was seen as a done deal, what I don't understand, Pace goes Croationia and (seemingly) seals the deal, Orsic would know how important the commitment - this is Pro stuff, PL football, big wonga a big move etc, so not to be taken lightly....so did Orsic really weasel out, or did Pace essentialy, go on a dreamlnad jolly, have a chat but was turned down by DZ, makes more sense than the Orsic having a change of mind spin.

Also. Odds on Ramsey on sky bet have tumbled from 33/1 to 3/1. Juventus are desperate to offload him. I truly cannot see this or even want to see this tbh!

I have a feeling the Weghorst deal is going the same way.It is all taking too long.He should be in training tomorrow.We simply cannot get deals over the line until the last minute.
Would not surprise me if he has also had a change of mind.No Ultras in Wolfsburg.
