    The data stinks . . . the result doesn't!

Thanks for this. Forgive the ignorance, but what does PPDA stand for in regard to the pressing stat? Ours seems very high, which I hope is a good thing?

It relates to Passes Allowed Per Defensive Action so basically the LOWER the better! Under LW our PPDA was always amongst the best in the league and we’ve never had it anywhere near as high as we did on Saturday for as long as I’ve been doing the data.

Presumably a low PPDA means you have allowed the opposition fewer passes before you have made a defensive action against them. So a higher PPDA means you’ve ‘let them have it’ and ‘sat back’?

    That's it
With Didzy in AJ's place he doesn't have the legs to chase all over the place (like Macca also did)
But he makes up for with quality when he gets the slightest sniff at goal

Luke Williams idea of defending was little more than a joke. We gave away so many ridiculous goals because of his insistence to play ourselves out of trouble. If he had still been our coach, we would have lost the game against Swindon.

Maybe but we would have lost 6-5

If he had still been our coach we would also have finished higher than 14th last season.
