Someone like Mullin (or Langstaff) only really makes sense if we sell Jatta. Would need a ready-to-go replacement if someone did offer something wild.
Signing this Traore probably makes AJ staying more likely. Just like Jatta last year he?s going to get a visa, and is coming from a league that?s only just come back into pre-season so isn?t going to feature for a few weeks. Feels like getting ahead of the game for selling AJ in the summer.
We are still light up front, even if Jatta stays. I would still like to see a striker of some vague pedigree brought in. Mullin and Macca are not the right profile as they have not played much and will be expecting game time. If Jatta stays we are much more likely to see a young striker come in.
But if Jatta stayed and you could still get one of them, you would 100% take either. If Jatta goes, Mullin would be an excellent replacement, short term.
Totally agree on the Traore point. Essentially the same as Jatta last season; although I am excited to see how many cannot put two and two together come the time he is sold an we have the same replacement argument again on here.
Mullin has a shin injury (confirmed by Parkinson) so any rumour of him on loan is false. Like many have said Traore will probably be Jatta v2 , coming in 6 months ahead to replace him in Summer.
This would be good proactive business from Notts
I think we'll be underwhelmed by any signing/s tomorrow
I don?t know what the situation is with Mullin, but if it?s they aren?t going to give him much game time at all then the logical place to sell/loan him is to anyone not competing top end of L1.
It would make total sense for us for me to have him on loan, he?d get quite a bit of game time I reckon tbf as he?s still probably a very good player at this level.
SMs said no one?s leaving so we have to take it at face value, having another quality striker at the club would be absolutely ideal for us but I just can?t see why they would want rid.
