I don't want tot take this off topic, but Brexit has royally screwed my business model which is why I am so keen to see if anyone in power will dare to stick their neck out and suggest a return to the EU in some fashion. Anyone who does, would certainly be my preference, regardless of which party they represent (within reason).

Little wonder the UK is fragmenting and the Scots and Welsh want out.
    irresponsible

Get off your high horse I was responding to Banjo Pies post, he was thinking most people ON HERE didn't want a Tory PM. But the majority on here don't get involved with political posts it had nothing to do with the general public or elections.

Tugendhat is the only one who seems relatively sane, so of course he’s got no chance. He’ll probably do well in the debates though. Mordaunt will most likely win, although she’s proved to be nearly as big a liar as the last bloke. Can a Tory on here explain what they see in Truss, because to me she’s just plain weird, and I wouldn’t trust her to run the proverbial whelk stall. My Uncle Tom really rates Badenoch.

With the hottest two days ever coming up in the UK, I wonder what any of em have to say about climate change?

I wondered when the predictable political parrots would emerge questioning Kemi Badenoch's racial credentials . Maybe you should just concentrate on the ginger growler in future, you've probably got more in common than you realise.

I appreciate that Kemi Badenoch's political views don't accord with your own, and maybe you wrote this in the heat of the moment, but what a personal, unpleasant and unnecessary sentence it is.

Sorry to have offended your delicate sensibilities. After all, you’ve always been quick to defend the likes of Dianne Abbot when she’s been the subject of racism on here. Oh no, my mistake, you haven’t.

Badenoch denies or pretends not to know that structural racism exists because she’s never suffered from it. She’s nothing more than a vacuous stream of right wing talking points who so far has achieved zilch with political career. I can see why you’d be a fan.

I haven’t seen racist comments about Diane Abbott on NCM, but if there have been any then that is equally unacceptable. I’ve seen a lot of people question Diane Abbott’s competence and remark on some of her gaffes, but that’s fair game as it is for any politician, not least Boris Johnson.

Badenoch doesn’t hold the views that you think she should hold as a black/BAME politician and that’s why you directed a racially motivated insult at her.

    Cut the guy some slack.
Bringing back Labour to an electable proposition from the Corbyn crash, bearing in mind that Scotland is lost for the foreseeable, he has at least maintained honesty and dignity.
Yes, Burnham might do better, but first he needs to be an MP.
And to echo what someone says above, any of these Tories are tainted by their non-critical association with Bozo, so what do I care which of them wins? I despise the lot but I can't see the party electing a Hindu as its leader even if he did go to Winchester public school.
This. Choosing out of these 5 who is the most capable, trustworthy and who understands the country they will be leading at the current time is pointless, they're all useless in one way or another. They all backed Bojo for far, far longer than they should have done. Time after time they backed him when he broke the law and sometimes joined him. It's only when they saw the ship was sinking they jumped like rats to save their own image. If any of them had integrity they'd have called Boris out as soon as he was caught, I don't know, breaking the law, trying to get his bits of fluff top jobs and trade deals, misappropriating public funds, getting employees to lie then fall on their sword (Allegra Stratton anyone?) trying to get out of a Brexit deal that was worse than the one everyone derided May for. Max Hastings wrote when Boris took over that he would maybe last 3 or 4 years, lurching from one crisis to the next before he lost the PM position as he was incapable of the job and that's exactly what happened. He's always been like that, out for himself and these candidates supported him all the way. It's nothing to do with a lefty rant, all that is the truth and we're meant to be enthusiastic about the 5 who might take over? Give me a break, it's like choosing which isn't as **** as the other.

Sid is also accurate about the Hindu point as one of my relations knows a Tory MP and he's even stated to him they're worried about an Asian being unelectable in this country at the current moment. Obviously on here we don't condone that but in the wider public that will matter, Brexit showed us how this country feels underneath. I'm sure there were leave voters doing it for detachment from Brussels before anyone starts but everyone I know or spoke to at the time of the vote wanted to do it to keep foreigners out. Most of the top business leaders and economists said it's going to ruin the GDP and growth which it has as apparently we were going to go round the world and get new deals cap in hand. Now we've realised those 'new' deals will never bring in enough money to cover what we've lost. Now they're trying to get rid of the NI protocol, who in their right mind would trust us anymore, we say we'll do one thing but if it doesn't suit us then we'll renage on the deal. The rewriting of the human rights bill as well with just the bits we like has really left a bad taste in alot of people's mouths especially mine.

Alot of people do want Andy Burnham as well as feel he could be relatable for alot more voters than Starmer who I agree isn't as popular as he should be and maybe not taking the chances he's given. Also though until he does the job then people can't really say how he'd do overall but he'd certainly be an improvement on Bojo and maybe on alot of these other candidates as well.

He will not will the next election, his oppostion since becoming leader has been poor at best. Since when has labour thought a knight and freemason would make the ideal leader, hahahaha!!!

Party what party, how he got away with that is beyond me even with the solid video evidence!! Think he pulled his knight card out of the bag, hahaha!
So OP does that mean you will be voting Tory.?
