Some people here would rather have Dick Campbell than Klinsmann 😂 I look forward to the day that we are in a position to say we are able to turn down a coach like Klinsmann but until then I’m hoping we turn Tommy Wright for someone a bit more exciting. Our aim for next season is to stay up and there’s no question Tommy could achieve that goal and have us pushing for top 6. I still don’t want him and I’m really hoping we can find a diamond like Killie did when they landed Steve Clarke.

What are you basing Klinsmanns credentials on though? It certainly can't be his managerial record at club level. He lasted 10 months at Bayern and 3 months at Hertha.

His managerial CV to date is:
    Germany
    Bayern
    USA
    Hertha Berlin

He might not have set the heather on fire at the clubs he was at but he’s still in a completely different league to Dundee Utd. He’s a top coach, let’s not forget we’re a recently promoted* Dundee Utd.

Stephen Glass sounds interesting but the Ian Cathro experiment suggests we should proceed with caution on this one.

He left them though I am fairly sure - rather than being sacked. The question that raises is temperament rather than ability.

I'm honestly worried to F*** with some of the names we are being linked with on betting sites (even if most of them are normally nonsense) I've not seen many names which I think are decent and are realistic.

Needing a safer pair of hands and certainly not a rookie or someone who doesnt know scottish football. maybe once established we could go for a more risky/ambitious appointment but not when its our first season up. need someone just to stabilise us. for that reason surely Wright is the man for us!

Just to show you how them markets work mate,a friend of my son contacted SKY BET and asked for a price on someone,i honestly cannot remember who.
They never had a price but he put a tenner on him and hey presto he was quoted at 10/1 within 5 minutes,i am talking about someone with not a cat in hell's chance of getting the job BTW.

Not a bet365 kind of guy but would imagine the bookies add names to get the punters betting on them.

Wee Gordon from the Trolleydome will get a mention next 😅
