Don't stress. We were never promotion possibilities this season anyway. Tippy tappy doesn't catch monkey. Go direct. Win title. Burch needs to have an awakening for next season. Or say goodbye.

2 more poor results in the next couple of games and watch 1 thousand fall off the gate.

I was concerned last season when the kid from Crewe was seen as the short-term solution to Doyle’s absence, and that’s been repeated by the “nice” footballers we’ve brought in over the summer. Kyle Wootton embodied that niceness in his post-match interview - lovely guy, but give me a scowling Iain McCulloch-type any day.

It can’t be a surprise to the owners that this is a tough, physical league and that the teams that thrive are tough, physical and quick - and can also play football. We seem to keep on prioritising the latter quality over all others.

With no game next weekend, it’s ***** that we pick up three points on Tuesday against the team two places above us. Should tell us a lot about this side and the manager.
I agree with all of that apart from the Doyle part.

He was the first name on the team sheet for 2 years and we saw plenty of embarrassing capitulations during that time! Although none involved conceding four goals, I'll grant you that.

The idea used to be that you needed a solid spine in the team, we don't have that now.

Off which two have been missing during the past two games, I wonder if it's related that they are missing and we lose ?

Exactly the point PTF66. I can't believe someone starts using clichés like "Needs a solid spine, but we don't have that now" when injury robs the manager of the goalkeeper and two or three key central defenders. Even Premier League Champions Liverpool found the same situation difficult.
