One of the top earners? How does this not fill me full of joy? 😳
Would be a great signing based on what I've seen of him for Scotland. Not sure he'd come tbh.

That’s the thing mate I couldn’t be any less excited if I tried, sorry but I do not rate him at all. ☹️
Even if he were to be one of the top earners, then not sure we could compete with the Tims or any English Championship/League side wage wise.
Footballing wise he is guaranteed European Football with Celtic; therefore I see no point
We have Edwards (jury still out), Neilson, K Smith to replace Reynolds and Connolly has come onto a game. If the money is available then I would be looking at getting Watson back or even Bouhenna.
The other reasoning behind this would be that Shanks might be on his way or one of our highly rated youngsters; how else would we get the money
My take, we are slowly building confidence and some are starting to get a grip eg Connolly and Powers whilst others imo are starting to get found out, some because of ability and some being unable to do the job in the formation Mellon wants to play.
Whether we agree or not Mellon has decided that is how he wants to set up in order to gather required points.
Regardless, at a time when we are just getting a bit of confidence despite being a few quality players short, we cannot dilute this further by getting rid of the little quality we do have.
Fair enough if silly money comes in equally understandable if we have no pot to pish in, but unless we are told that then weakening the team does not help us get to where our owner said we should be
I’m guessing it’s because we know of solid interest in one or more of our current squad. Could be that we identified goals were needed to get us out of the championship - hence shanks signing. Now we’re in the Premiership and this first season it’s about survival, maybe MM wants to shift our outgoings to suit I.e bring in a tried and tested CB to make us extra hard to beat/win some defensive headers and move on the dross (we have lots of that)
Either that or McMullan was on £10k a week
I don't buy this 'we're expecting a bid' stuff. Its been said a few times on here. If thats how we're going about things then we're working to a financial disaster of a business model.
