OK it's the Sun i know but in theory why not, especially before the EFL scrap the rule where clubs can't sue each other
Why not? Having stuck to the position of "the claims have no validity", it's hypocritical to then go and do it ourselves.

But the EFL said they had, dcfc said they didn't but who blinked first the EFL or MM via dcfc? To be clear i don't think they have any validity and still don't but we (dcfc) conceded that they had by paying boro the compo and probably wycombe too

Maybe we should emulate Rotherham (there’s something I never thought I’d say). If memory serves they were the unluckiest to go down last season but they’ve just got on with it and now they’re top of League One.

Oh for the days when football was sorted by twenty two blokes on a pitch rather than egotistical chairmen, accountants and lawyers feathering their own nests.

Back to the era of jumpers for goalposts eh rA..... no substitutes and wet leather balls providing ample concussion opportunities. In defence of accountants and lawyers, they merely aid and abet the egotists...it's really all the teachers faults for creating this self centred society of wannabes 😀

Now you're guessing. At the moment, none of us KNOW what the agreement is between Mel/Gibson. Are Boro getting cash off Mel? Have they merely agreed to take it to Court and Mel will underwrite anything the Court/Arbitration hit us with?

Ha,ha. None of your aforementioned...but even you have to admit that things were better when all we knew were the names of the players, the managers and, very occasionally, the odd chairman.

I'm not sure how anyone knows that we or Mel for that matter have paid Boro anything, an accommodation has been reached which will remain confidential. Seems to me its unsure if any money has changed hands and whats happened has saved Gibson's face and enabled the issue to go away.

Hopefully the same sense will prevail with Wycombe, but hey ho onwards, I hear a preferred buyer announcement is "imminent"!

Swale - the above is my response to Stenson saying "we (dcfc) conceded that they had by paying boro the compo"

Agree, and whatever Mel agreed doesn't set a precedent. Anyway aren't the EFL going to change the rules next season on this?
