I like the idea of this to but I'd imagine that teams that rely on the Shellic & Sevco dollar would never agree to it as they'd lose out on 1 or 2 of their gates at home. Teams like Killie, Hamilton and more recently St Johnstone give up most of their stadium for the arrival of ugly sisters so I doubt they'd vote for this.
Peter - i cant see much seethe on here. Plenty laughing at you and your team though and despair about putting it to a vote - as any asshole can vote
I would suggest above but 2 down and no playoff.
You want to keep the best attended clubs in the top flight. Two down is enough.
Next season Premier league - play each other twice (26 games) then have a top 7 and bottom 7 split. Within the split, you again play those in your part of the league twice (12 games) Total games -38
Bottom 2 are automatically relegated into the championship
A top 7/bottom 7 split wouldn't work. There would always be one team in each half of the split without a game at the weekend. It would have to be top 6/bottom 8 or vice versa.
I posted the above on the 9th of April its post 7 on here.I have no problem with any of the above clubs voting against the proposal,my main sympathy lies with Partick because they could have avoided relegation and only have a game in hand due to playing in the SPFL's stupid Tunnocks FN Cup.
As for the teams in or around the play off spots i do understand their frustration because i am an honest and fair minded human being. What i cannot accept is one of the play off clubs trying to shaft the team miles clear at the top of the league by proposing to declare them champions but denying them the only prize on offer which is promotion.
This statement was not from a shrewd or clever businessman it was from someone who would not recognise a good manager if he come up to him and headered him in the puss, the guy is way out of his depth even in the bowels of TheAuldHunStand,WASC with a FACT.
