Thread: Transfer in's and out's rumours etc.

Everton rarely win anything these days nor do Newcastle but ai would classify both as top clubs.

Using your own analysis of other people’s qualifications to opine on the quality of players .... why should we listen to anything you say either. Wouldn’t mind if you made your point and left it but you respond to virtually all points with a different view trying to bend them to your will.

Even the Rev thinks your daft! Maybe time to stop digging and move on?

If nothing else at least allow those of us who are excited by this to enjoy the moment?

Let's all hope he'll be a success at Leeds.

On a strictly personal note I moved abroad for lifestyle change, differing culture experiences, career challenge balanced with money ratio/family time being the 'deal breaker'.
We're all different of course opportunity wise throughout life and Leeds offers a lot today for career, culture and family as a city and Leeds United can offer strong Spanish connections too,so a great package for a family man gifted with football skills within a short career,IMO.
Ultimately the deal would have to satisfy all three parties and I noted the players Dad was involved too so a 'big family decision' was agreed and Spain's income tax would have been a major factor in that.
Surprised at WTF11 Eastleigh comment 'tho, nicely ran family club as all clubs should be.

    MOT

Same view, same points, same opinion, we will see how "excited" we should be when (if) he ever puts on a 1st team shirt (and plays). (And that's looking like around the end of October, given quarantine, the need to be "Bielsafied" etc., so about 7 matches in, be interesting to see how we are doing (and if "The Rod" can get a place if were doing well?)).

Like all those who disagree with me, there is never any substance to your comment (bit like BBs post about me being stupid).

I don't think Rodrigo is what we need, and I disagree with some of the comments about why he is (and I support my comments with just a little in the way of facts about the player and the club). That's not positive or negative, it's an opinion. Clearly Leeds don't agree, and as Oz said, they don't pay any attention to what is posted here.

We will see when the guy puts on a 1st team shirt whether they are right and I'm wrong or otherwise. I genuinely hope I'm wrong, which would mean a sizeable chunk of the clubs transfer budget has been well spent, but if I'm right then equally we will have wasted that same chunk of money.

I have admitted I was wrong and that I have changed my opinion on Bielsa, on some of the players, and not on others, but my opinion of Orta remains completely as it always has been, his hit rate simply doesn't justify his position at the club.

Not negative, or positive, realistic with a healthy dose of scepticism ("believe it when you see it") borne out of bitter experience over 4 decades.

But you keep on tackling the man, not the ball, no skin off my nose.

He is supposed to be in the Leeds squad in the premier leagues fantasy football game and hi can is a big clue. Suspect the challenges of quarantine from Spain may be delaying the paper work.

Your "frame of reference" is watching a player in a team you have described as "dreadful" where I imagine its somewhat easier to shine than if that player was in what is genuinely a "top Spanish club". Spanish football is not the PL, where the overall standard is considerably higher than La Liga, (are any but the two Madrid teams, Barca and Sevilla widely known outside Spain?) so any assessment based on Rodrigos performance in a sub-standard club playing in a (largely) inferior league to the PL is hardly re-assuring.

You have seen the guy play, so I respect the fact that you think he is good enough. I don't, based on analysis of current performance of both his current club and the player himself. You might be right, I might be right, we will see.

Sometimes the number of times I get called names has gotten to me. Not any more.

    "Sticks and stones.........etc")
