Fantastic from Shankland
Good games from Appere, Clark and Connolly
Personally I was happy in the end with the commentary - Dillon and downbeat Dave balanced it all out well. At least there was plenty detail and actual commentating going on.
The ref was abysmal. Some of his decisions were mind boggling.
How Davidson did not get a yellow for tearing into Harkes after he beat a couple of men was unbelievable
That would have been straight red in most leagues around the world.
Maybe United need to roll around more when fouled and that was what ref was looking for
Ref failure to sort out the St J fouls early on set the tone for the match - absolute disgrace
Davidson non booking was absolute shocker.
Second half quality was really poor I thought. Our final ball is so bad at times. Players trying to play balls that just aren't on which loses us possession time & again. Defending at set pieces not much better. Really hope we can get Fuchs back soon for a bit of midfield dig & composure. Two great goals however. Decent performance from Connolly again.
After Shankland's wondergoal, thought that was going to shift momentum our way, but they were far more dangerous for 10-15 mins, then last 20-25 mins it just turned into a war of attrition, both sides just lumping it, hard to see us create a chance when game is played like that with our strikers who aren't going to win many headers. Game was crying out for someone to put there foot on the ball.
I watched whole game with volume off & it does give you a slightly different experience. I actually thought it was a decent game with both teams being competitive, playing some reasonable stuff at times & it probably could have went either way. From a utd perspective I thought we looked pretty decent at times & some moves were great to watch. But agree with criticism about wrong decisions being made at times & giving possession away too often
Yes. I think Sean Dillon was great.
The midfield is definitely where we need improving from tonight. Both as to control, dig, passing and creativity
Got to say also Benj was amazing again - without him we would have lost. Couple of times I though they’d scored but he pulled off saves
Liam Smith was great but he should have shot or crossed when at edge of box at end
I love Dillion, the chunt thats trying to hard seriously boils my piss, ken!
to be fair after about 30 mins i think I just became acclimatised to the commentator like you do a car alarm that's been going off for half an hour. He's fine as a presenter.
