That’s the thing bud, We never appointed MacKay due to ‘complaints’ from fans so how the f uck should we settle for amateur appointment like Tam

I still refuse to believe he is a serious contender. But the rumours are there and wont go away.

I’m still positive that the original MM was about to be appointed last year OA until as you say the ‘backlash’ occurred. As OK as Mellon did for us I’m still convinced that MacKay would have been a better appointment. But we didn’t find out then and we sure as hell ain’t going to find out now.

And another thing - why now? What has changed in 12 months? There was none of this young, untried, up and coming, promotor of youth candidate back then.Instead it was all tried and trusted candidates like the twa MMs, Tommy Wright, Schteve McLaren etc etc. What has changed in that short time that makes us think we should suddenly turn 180° and go in a completely different direction? Certainly not on the park - it’s a largely unchanged squad, with the same challenges going in to a difficult league. Why did we need experience in the dugout then but not now? I could definitely get it if Courts had say been assistant to Mellon for example three years or so and then took the reins when Micky maybe then moved on but the background to this particular set of events seems radio rental..............

Which is why I just can't see it being true.

A person at that meeting who hated ST with a passion has said and i quote,"I would rather have ST back with some of the things i'm hearing at this meeting."
