Agree on WS's comment. Besides, he's earned a chance.

The reality is we aren't going to take a chance on a young up and coming coach the first year up. That means we end up with the same old recycled coaches that make the rounds. Very few revolutionary coaches make it in the prem and those that do have exceptional squads... often put together by the predecessor coach.

We do know that Farke plays reasonably interesting football. Not too hard to watch. I also think that Farke offers a more than reasonable chance of staying up. He's going to get some money to spend.

It is very concerning his unbridled loyalty. The keeper situation almost cost us promotion.

Mate he played the same players aka Bielsa till forced to make changes which proved every time that they were better eg Tanaka. This was the weakest championship i have witnessed for years. The situation with subs was unbelievable when things were going wrong. Latest example James was cooked 8 weeks ago and kept playing him instead of resting him and than he gets injured and he still plays him.
Like I said we went up he deserves to lead us but I do have my doubts he will lead us straight down again.

What we don't know is what went out behind the scenes. It's likely there were some "suggestions" that the board/investors had regarding the tactics, squad, youth and game management.

If they were rebuked out of hand and coach was closed minded we'll likely know that when he's released. i can't recall Norwich saying much on this. He was tossed mid season at Gladbach so it does make you wonder.

I see no logical reason to consider sacking him unless someone ridiculously gifted were to be both interested and available. Even then, Farke's shown that he knows how to manage his team and players without unnecessary drama. I don't personally dislike Wilder (his obvious heart on his sleeve passion for "his" club is commendable), but he's not come across well of late, although he still has the chance to put things right in the playoffs.

Give Farke a free rein to bring in the players he wants (obviously within reason and budgetary constraints) and let's see how we fare. Same with most of the players who put the effort in to get us to the top division.

I don't want to support Franchise United where there is no loyalty to the club, team or fans.

Farkes is now 48 with 2 years remaining on his contract at ER following his appointment in 2023.
Lets not forget his backroom staff at Leeds too, including Assistant managers Edmund Riemer, Christopher John & Danilo de Souza. All of them have signed contracts with the club with their terms expiring in 2027, as has Chris Domogalla the club Athletic coach.

So quite a few to be replaced 'if they decide' to eventually give him garden-leave as his recruitment mate appear to be off as its reported Everton have now agreed to sign Nick Hammond from Leeds too, which will see him potentially overseeing Everton players contracts at the clubs new stadium HQ.
Hammond is currently a recruitment consultant at Leeds & no doubt keen to join Angus.

Not a believer in hiring and firing as it leads to a lack of long term planning credibility and potentially hinders the development of a strong team identity and playing philosophy....
but Leeds must break from the current trend of promoted teams going straight back down and will need to adopt to a new way of playing now....

All our die hard fans accept we will need to now go out and grind out a result in each Premier league game..... and if we can create that solid foundation from the off then we have a better chance to progress and introduce more flexibility to our approach..... a big ask for any Coach going into the Premier league so i can understand why the club is reportedly looking at all possibilities seriously..... and in doing so gauging the general consensus of our fans..... which is sensible or maybe clever PR...... into attracting which players right now would join under Farke and which ones would not.

Oz was correct when he mentioned in a previous post in this thread that this was one of the weakest Championships, evidenced by the gulf between the top 3 and most everyone else, so it's not unreasonable to suggest we have been lucky more than we have been good (the drubbing we have Stoke wasn't exactly a testing time, was it?).

What more could he do? Take Meslier out after the Sunderland debacle and give Darlow a chance, probably be promoted as Champions (that would please WS!) before we got into April. Stop fielding players who are clearly exhausted e.g James. Use substitutes intelligently as opposed to only being used to run the clock down. Provide opportunities to younger players when the match circumstances allow instead of constantly fielding "favourites" (Gelhardt appears to be enjoying life as a regular first team player). Will he change now we are promoted? He hasn't previously, why should we expect him to do so this time?

Agree completely. More importantly, 49ers are one of the most (if not the most) conservative organizations in American sport. They always stick with and support a successful group. Farke will be our manager unless he wants to leave himself, which appears very unlikely. My issue is that 49club have always been (for the last 3 decades) extremely fiscally conservative too, leading the 49ers to great wealth. Just look at what they did at end of last season. We released Summerville, rutter, gray. Brought back aaronson. Did not bring in a single player in january. I dont think being fiscally conservative after promotion to the Premier League is going to help that much. That's my concern.
