Nor was he 'dumped', he lost narrowly. And this time round (so far) he's focussing on delivery not a staff merry go round. If he resolves Ukraine in any way at all IMO his approval rating will shoot up (amongst Americans, certainly not me if he he resolves it in Russia's favour)

Well, in so much as Biden received more votes than any other US Presidential candidate ever, Trump did get dumped. He just didn’t handle it terribly well.

Interestingly, despite most of them probably being unable to find it on a map, the majority of US citizens (including Republicans), are allegedly very sympathetic to Ukraine and equally critical of Russia.

P.S. If you really want to you could just rename it ‘Politicians careless with the truth. Who’da thought?’

Seems Jonathan Reynolds has been telling Porky Pies on his CV too. So I have a serious question: Should I rename the Careless Tories thread as 'Careless Members of the current administration'?

To knit two recent aspects of this thread together you may wish to include Trump amongst your examples of ‘carelessness’, Andy.

In an attempt to make a positive point about his ancestral longevity he appears to have been a little careless about both the age and state of health/mental acuity of his parents.

    .
Regrettably I don?t think his actions are careless using the usual definition, but they are being done without caring about what ?people? think which I guess is another form of carelessness. What he?s doing is certainly quite deliberate

IMO if he continues down the line of appeasing Russia, China will occupy Taiwan knowing it?s ?just A transaction?, the ostracising of Russia will disintegrate and the new world order will see UK and EU in the political equivalent of League 1

All aided and abetted by those who have sought to destroy the concept of a united Europe.
I think the only aspect of the Brexit argument that ever made any sort of sense was the desire to avoid a USoEU. Seems quite desirable right now.

    Agent Farage…you have been busy.

There was no chance with or without Brexit, most EU countries will do their own thing when push comes to shove, which it is doing

UK Might actually see a genuine Brexit Dividend depending on how much sucking up Starmer does

What do the people mentioned in this thread have in common?

    They're all politicians.

    They lie.

It's part of the job description, it would seem.
