Yeah, Edwards & Neilson both staying put. No business expected in or out.
In all fairness, they've kept us 8th or above most of the season. And in the top for the last couple of months.
I know everyone will say "other teams had games in hand", "we are not winning games" etc and thats true... but we have a core group of experienced guys in there that, even though on the pitch they may cause us more issues than they are worth sometimes, will keep the squad focused and these are the type of people you want in there when the going gets tough (for example, would you rather have had Connolly, Reynolds and Butcher in 2016 than the players we had? Yes, I would have).

Disagree with this. What has Ogren ever done to indicate he isn't 100% committed to the club? We have a squad of around 24 players at the moment. It is already (most likely) over budget and MO is having to write a check every month to cover the losses we are already suffering. Adding another wage into the mix (although we'd all like to see it) can be seen as picking himself over the club.
We have more than enough to stay in this league. Don't lose our 2 games this week and we are still in a very comfortable position.
At the start of the season, 10th was the target for most. The minimum accepted. But as soon as there is a sniff of bad form it's 'Mellon Out' on social media and demanding we go and spunk money on players.
I'm not saying you specifically tHeArAb, I'm just ranting about fans attitude in general towards United at the moment.
4 years of hell in the Championship should have given people a bit of perspective in terms of where we are as a club. It will take time.
I get all that, I really do, but this group are in danger of having us drop out the division. A short term loan to give us that wee boost we need may just be the difference between staying up and going down.
Are they in danger though? Granted if we lose our next two games we can start to worry, but win the two games and we are probably safe as long as we get back to our old ways of grinding out draws with the occasional win. Nothing to suggest we cant do that. Fuchs back. Chalmers coming back. Look to have kept hold of Benji and Shankland.
Maybe I'm just a glass-half-full kind of person.
