Any 'saving' we have right now will likely be considered a saving, and not something to be spent.

I completely agree with you there, certainly from the owners/sporting directors side of things. I'm sure the manager would love to add to the squad. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse.

If we play 442 we look like we can maybe create something but we also look fairly fragile at the back as less protection plus we are probably playing someone out of position.
If we play 3/5 at the back. defensively we look sound enough but going forward we really lack any sort of quality or creativity.

Why does it need to be one or the other though? What about 4-2-3-1 for instance?

I totally agree but i only mentioned those 2 formations as it seems the ones he likes to use.

I think it has to be 352 now. move to a 4 later in the game if we need to. we have 12 games left and just need to turn this run of form round and get back to where we were around November/December.

I'm with you on this. We've done a few times before and its been effective.

Ironically, I thought that, prior to our last 2 games, we were showing signs of getting better in the 352 - managing to get better possession going forward. But we have gone backwards. I think going back to 352 is required. Resting one or two, whose form has dipped, and using a natural midfielder in place of a 3rd striker will also help I feel.

The last i heard Nisbet trained today and is in the squad for tomorrow but he has handed in a transfer request.I have not seen any link with Hibs and Shankland though.
In other news Callum Hendry the ST Johnstone striker has been linked with Hibs.
