The only thing you can say in our defence is that through no fault of our own, we were lacking match sharpness, having played three games less than the vermin.
If we’re still as off the pace next week, when we play a team who’ve played the same friendlies as us, then we can ask questions.

That said, the sitting off & admiring them is infuriating.
Get in about them, rattle them a bit.
We played like it was an end of season meaningless game.

    SEVCO weren’t even good.
The second half they were pish... but still won comfortably.

I think McInnes seemed happy with the 2nd half performance so I imagine next week he’ll start as many of the players that finished the game as he can, so the likes of McGinn, Hedges & Edmondson will start I think.

I rearranged going away for that today. I don't know what I expected as we always play with trailers around our waists at the start of every ****ing season.

Ojo and Bryson are in the wrong team.

    Hernandez looked good.

The Leeds boy looks like he'll be good.

Anderson was hung out to dry.

We'd be scoring clean sheets regular if it wasn't for the usual brain fart.

    We will still finish 3rd.

Will be interesting to see what Dave Cormack makes of that performance today as that is exactly the type of performance that will keep the part-time fans or the non season ticket holders to stay at home once fans are allowed back into stadiums.

He must be very relieved 8,100 signed up for season tickets before today.

Listening to McInnes in 3 interviews now it seems he’s learned over lockdown what a “press” is, but how to implement it is another matter entirely. He seems more keen to show he knows what the press is and how it works than anything else - more personal ego stroking, it’s rife in the club.

It wouldn’t surprise me if McInnes tries some sort of 3-5-1-1 or 3-5-2 next week sadly

    Lewis
    Taylor Hoban McKenna
    Hernandez Ferguson Ojo Bryson Hayes
    McGinn Edmondson

The Americans will fire McInnes. Their influence over Cormack will be shown soon enough if this type of performance continues. Aberdeen are trying to portray themselves as forward thinking....McInnes doesn’t fit into that category in a business or football sense. He is a goner.

You really think we’ll give him a 7 figure pay off & bring in a new management team (Stephen Glass of Atlanta anyone?)
    I don’t.
Unless we are struggling in 5th or 6th they’ll keep him

Well that was a waste of 2 hours of my life. Absolute rubbish all over the pitch. Poor Anderson left up on his own with not one decent pass to make anything of and then hooked after an hour. That will be him out now without being given a decent chance in a formation which would suit him. Our defence ( apart from Hernandez) is dire with no pace and other sides will be looking forward to playing us if they have any quick players. I feel sorry for Lewis playing behind them and clean sheets will be like hens teeth, much like most of last season We again have an unbalanced squad with too many wingers and defensive mids and no proper left back. After Lowe and Leigh who both gave us a lot of attacking options and were decent defenders we are back to Considine who should only be a squad player as cover for our central defenders, or left back. How Deek thinks he is an adequate left back beats me. Cormack promised us attacking football but that did not last long with not one shot on goal.

Would you quit if you were in his shoes? If any McInnes fan was watching today then they'd surely (sorry, I know you hate being called Shirley) have realised that he hasn't got a clue...Bruce Anderson up front, never mind let's pump it up to the 5'8" guy anyway, you never know we may pick up the second ball if our midfielders are up and about him...as if!
