110,000 are already reported dead from a deadly combination of the common cold, influenza, corona and the sheer ineptitude of a Cabal of Cabinet Minister Conservative and Unionist Cretins led by a blonde-haired, grinning, smirking, clueless clown aided and abetted by their quisling sidekick Kier Starmer.
I get all of this BT but the thought was / is if you just let it go rife and herd immunity it would have wiped out a massive percentage of the sick elderly and the NHS most definitely wouldn’t have coped , I’ve posted previously re this and it really isn’t real until it destroys one of your own or a friend close to you - people can throw as many figures false or otherwise at it as you like and continue to blame a prime minister ( somehow I don’t know how ) for all of this.

My question is what would you and the others be posting if they had called time on this and said it’s a flu at worst get on with everything, my guess is you d be complaining the other way and Boris would be at fault for not controlling this so called flu.

See reality is devil you devil you don’t - all that figures thing in the middle is just politics as usual but more emphasised now when there is literally absolutely nothing else to talk about.

Me personally when I get my call I’m going for my jab , give myself half a chance of living god forbid I got it bad, I posted before re being guilty of the same views as many until it kills people you know in a few days - suddenly reality kicks in and the element of doubt in your thoughts pops in your head, if it can do that to my friends it could do it to me.

It’s not even about that you may be fine and have been diagnosed and ok , it’s who you pass it to and Kill where the issues start.

    .

been taking the pliss for some time....starting at first lockdown, high numbers due to the high number of positives from healthy people because the RT-PCR test could show a fragment of "something" they could call - Covid...add to that that a death from "whatever" was also deemed curtains from Convid - and the madness was created - want numbers, how many would you like ?
Another good example, recently from Stateside - some Senator is blasted into the (be afraid) headlines as dying from the n-n-n-19...but read the print and he was admitted to hospital last september - with lung cancer.
Numbers/stats/estimates/data/projections....Nothings !...unless your good to feed off the swill, without a thought, Respiratory deaths, first week of Jan 21 - 678 / 20 - 2140 / 19 -1736 / 18 - 2361...etc - there, a free thousand plus pw for starters, need some more, as the maincourse mentioned in (sinkov) post 226...Top it up with relentless propoganda and fear - and fanny's your aunt.

Whether it's covid or something else there's been an extraordinary number of excess deaths in the last 12 months. Perhaps there's a Conservative hit squad trying to reduce the pension burden. 100,000 x 500 x 13 = £650 million a year saved. They just hadn't anticipated the other costs.

Certainly an increase on recent years Chris, but if you take into account the annual increase in the size and age of the population, the mortality rate in 2020 was just back to 2008 levels, and it was higher in every year back to WW2, all of which we managed without locking the country down and devastating the economy.

"On 12 January, the Head of Mortality Analysis at the Office for National Statistics revealed that mortality rate in the UK in 2020, during a civilisation-threatening pandemic necessitating our transition into a biosecurity state, had been the worst since . . . 2008. This is based on what the ONS calls its ‘age-standardised mortality rates’, which take account of both increases in population numbers and the ageing of the population, both of which increase the actual number of deaths. This shows that the age-standardised mortality rate in 2020 of 1,043.5 deaths per 100,000 of the population was surpassed not only in 2008 (with 1,091.9 deaths per 100,000), but also in 2007 (1,091.8), in 2006 (1,104.3), in 2005 (1,043.8), 2004 (1,163.0), 2003 (1,232.1), 2002 (1,231.3), 2001 (1,236.2) and 2000 (1,266.4). Unfortunately, the calculation of age-standardised mortality rates for England and Wales only goes back to 1942; but every year between then and 2008 had a higher mortality rate than 2020. Even by the measure of the ‘crude mortality rate’ not adjusted for an ageing population, no year before 2004 had a lower mortality rate than 2020. In fact, over the last 79 years, 2020 has the 12th lowest mortality rate."

All I see now is Hancock being wheeled out with threats of £10,000 fines or ten years in prison (cost to the taxpayer?) or Boris on television in Derby or somewhere wearing a white coat and daft white hat more reminiscent of a market pork pie trader than a Prime Minister.

I was offered the jab yesterday but politely declined. They will have to kill me another way. I social distance to the max and wear one of those leper style bells with a sign around my neck saying, "Keep the F**k away from me".

    That way nobody catches nothing.

    Can't lie to the State.
But the State can lie to you.

OC left the forum because of my constant criticism of This Cabal of Cabinet Minister Conservative and Unionist Cretins led by a blonde-haired, grinning, smirking, clueless clown aided and abetted by their quisling sidekick Kier Starmer, but it's really not getting any better is it?

It's taken them one full year to realise that having open borders with no Covid controls is madness. Roll on 15th February.

To be fair BT, I don't think OC's departure was entirely your doing. He was well pissed off with me constantly picking up on his misuse of the covid stats and asking why he appeared to be a government shill. I'll take half the rap mon ami.

Thank you sinkov, I feel much better for knowing that. I notice the government are still slinging stupid statistics around to justify this perpetual loss of freedom and metamorphosis into a Eastern European Police State.
