Cheese and syrup, it's a yes from the Scheckie jury.
I used to enjoy cheese (cheddar, the mair mature the better) and syrup.......on a buttery.

    There I've said it.

But bacon on a sliced rowie is just wrang.

That is like fu cking with the space/time continuum.

That's like......mine and tatties with a side of dhansak.

I’m a member too, although very much from the sidelines. May get more involved if Morton’s rolls are on the agenda

I’ve never sliced a buttery but I have had bacon in between two rowies and I think that’s more culturally acceptable than slicing them . Just clap them thegither wi half a squeeler atween them .

OK. This is getting out of hand. Clearly there sre some major perverts within the Aberdeen Family. And this IS NAE the Aberdeen way !!!!!

Ye eat a rowie on it's ain ,or wi butter ... ....an ats it !!!!!

I've no idea what a Mortons roll is. But if it's anyrhing like an Edinburgh morning roll , it'll be the one to stick the bacon in ?

And it's BROON sauce goes in with that !!!!!

( Few years ago I introduced the fine Aberdeen delicay to a girlfriend from Redcar. Explained it was an " Aberdeen morning roll " and she could put butter on it if she wanted . I was pouring coffee and turned ro find her very very carefully trying to butter the knobbly side.........................what could I say ?!!

Far too much use of the dreaded B word.

    It’s a roll
You get rolls, softies and baps.

Bacon is best in a bap but in a softie would be acceptable.

The use of the word rowie is acceptable and increased in use with the influx of non Aberdonians into the city.

    But B........

    Never never never
