A few comments from Chessie fans on the Notts live stream:
"I personally thought the Notts stream was very good.
Good commentary supplied by Radio Nottingham, very balanced and impartial, good replays of key moments".
"That is definitely the best coverage and commentary team so far, although the Daggers commentary team ran them close.
I loved the Iffy Effiong passage of play when Mark Stallard said ‘that wasn’t his proudest 10 seconds’".
"If there was one criticism and its a minor one , its that they cut to another camera at times to early, but by far the best away stream this season".
Would much prefer it if those comments were about the Notts team ie Notts were first to the ball, neat incisive exchanges, played as if their lives depended on it, creative in midfield, moved the ball with pace and were clinical with their finishing.
Sadly all of those attributes were lacking yesterday. A very poor day at the office but it has been coming as teams can’t continue to win if performances are not sharp enough. Hopefully, Tuesday gives them the opportunity to put things right and get back on track. This league is there to be won by whichever team imposes themselves best.
Thomas and Denis have gone and who has Dear Leader replaced them with? Effiong and Sam. Are either of them natural or opportunist goal scorers? Neither pair well with Wooton so why are they here? Ardley is not setting the team up to play to our attacking strengths but to prop up our weak midfield. And he's failing at that as our ponderous build up is so easily countered by a rapid burst through by two or three enemy attackers outpacing a disjointed defence to a ball lobbed forward.
It must be so easy for a manager to tell his players that Notts haven't the quality to maintain the possession that Ardley's style of play demands. Just wait for the regular miss-placed pass out of defence and jump in. A high press game is a winning game against us and has been this season and last. The only reason we are up where we are is because other clubs haven't got the manager to work this out or the players aren't good enough to work it out for themselves.
Why would anyone think you are obsessed after you post your 254th message that references me and as you quote one of my posts for the 102nd time?! That's crazy talk lol
I will let you in on a little secret, you don't have to quote so many of my posts. You don't have to reply to all my posts, you don't need to talk about me anywhere near as much as you do chap. You also don't need to get so worked up over emojis, acronyms, hashtags or nicknames (have I missed anything else?)!
I ignored your posts for a whole week, didn't quote, didn't reply and have ignored one thread completely for the greater good. No sweat, easy to do and entertaining as I saw you get more and more desperate trying to get me to respond.
Maybe you try to do the same for just a day, just 24 hours. Can you manage that? Or has the obsession gripped you too tightly already? It appears so.
The above is the reason why you calling me or anyone obsessed about anything a complete joke. Even you should be able to see that it also makes you as much of a hypocrite as anyone you've accused that of on here.
I post after every win, draw and defeat I have all season. Look back through all the games if you so wish. The names you mentioned don't, they completely disappear after a Notts win. They also predict defeats before games, when they think we will/may win of course they don't predict. At least they are consistent
Even you must consider strange behaviour for people who claim to be Notts fans.
Last night I cooked a lovely 30 day aged Angus Sirloin steak, homemade potato wedges and salad. Glass or two of red and finally got around to watching Deadpool. I don't usually like that style of superhero movie but it was funny, enjoyed it.
The alternative was Davy et al in fine voice having been largely bottled up for so long. I thought that can wait till Sunday morning and it can.
Bugger.
I hate Chesterfield.
Credit to the opposition to be fair, they executed their game plan perfectly....we didn’t even seem to have one, which is a perfectly justified accusation against Ardley when we play against a high press (cant believe we haven’t sorted this out yet).
We moved the ball better in the 2nd half, but that literally is the only positive I took from that game. Very few chances. Poor individual displays and another game we looked clueless against the high press.
I don’t know what to say, I’m just predictably disappointed. Because I’m disappointed I’m going to make some knee jerk reaction comments even though I’ve managed to refrain since the end of the game.
Sam isn’t good enough. Without going into much detail, he’s like a poor mans craig Westcarr (not that I rated him very highly either). Effiong looks like a complete waste of a signing. Miller is, and always was a mistake waiting to happen (he made a similar rash challenge in his first game for us)...obviously devoid of any real grey matter. Pilling even got a special mention by me before the match suggesting he’s dodgy, and sadly I was proved right...totally unconvincing. I’ve supported Ardley, but why isn’t that centre mid being rotated...I like Doyle, but like I’ve said before, his legs are going and that’s quite obvious in games like yesterday.
Finally, the manager needs to take a long look in the mirror this morning and ask himself some serious questions about how he’s going to get the real best out of this team and beat the high f*****g press!
Hmmm, online rants are quite cathartic, maybe that’s why people do it!
Good post TSANHO unlike laddo, do you know how tediously boring you are.
