I would like Mcneil to stay.He was a square peg in a round hole in a Dycheball squad.I am convinced he will flourish with like minded players of similar technical ability in an attack minded team.Skillful players like Mcneil love going forward and creating/scoring but he was forced into a more defensive role and with hardly any other threat until Cornet arrived teams doubled up-sometimes trebled up-on him and nulled the threat.He should be much more free to run at teams in a VK squad especially in the Championship.

I cannot help but question one or two of the aforementioned's loyalty to the cause sinkov. If you think McNeil, Weghorst, Wood and Mee's heart were all in a relegation battle, then more fool you. Last time I looked three of those imposters to fortune have already jumped on "Do One Airlines" or am I wrong on that too?

IN other words, these players have shown their ambition in that they wish to play at the highest level they can and The Clarets next season will not fulfil that requirement.
In addition, they have seen their 'business' relegated, been offered a drop in remuneration because of it and can boost their earnings elsewhere without Clarets fans getting on their backs because they 'sulk' or don't give it their all according to some.
Looking at those facts ----why would anyone want to stay at Burnley if you have ambition?

I can never quite work out if you’re fishing Bt or if you actually mean it , wood would still be here if the toon hadn’t triggered his release clause to weaken us and they did do it for that reason don’t care what anyone says, weghorst in his defence said he wanted international football at this point in his career so in a way had to move or won’t be considered- Mee I do think should have played in the last two or three games ( but in fairness who knows if he could have ) he didn’t fancy the wage cut though - with respect to him - his loving BFC as much as he does didn’t rub with me - he went for a better deal - I’ve posted before he does have form in this situation- he was leaving us for pastures new when we spent £15 million on Gibson - didn’t get the move he wanted and re signed. Two things about that Dyche/ Garlick would not have spent £15 million on a centre back if Mee was staying - secondly he wanted away at that point,
Historically he’s been a good servant to Burnley , but the above is the truth.

Mcneil I’d be surprised if he’s said anything about leaving to anyone it’s just press talk stirring things up - he will be a good player for us if he stays.
