    7. Ambitious but flopped.

I'm sorry but laughter is the best medicine at such a time.

    Like Derbymiller said,
    "I'm still hopeful"

    Also point No5-
I don't think Mr Stewart really wants us to go down.

I still think it's number 1 and only number 1

Don't be daft. We've got millions in reserve.

Haven't you been reading the posts?

I'd rather us keep the funds for next year.

To get level, we need 4 straight wins. It's not going to happen.

If threes a chance to offload one or two for six figures we should do it.

The club looses about £800,000.- £1.2M in league one usually, so that would offset that.

Last year Ogbene was offered a contract to stay and he said he wasn't far off signing it but the club wouldn't budge and he was allowed to run out his contract.Luton are now talking of a 20 million plus player. Rathbone is another player whose form has gone downhill due to the delay of a contract renewal.Whilever we pay the lowest wage we will never attract the best for us to go forward. This season was the prime time to invest and consolidate our position.A record number of eight thousands bought season tickets on the promise of"we have learnt from previous mistakes and significant funding will be made available".We just don't have a long term plan at this club.

👏 👏 totally agree. We have always had a reactive approach to retaining any of our players when it’s too late hence the millions lost in saleable revenue.

After all these years in tenure, has no one really ever offered to buy a stake in RUFC from Tony Stewart or, has his stubbornness kept them away?

That it maybe ,but you can’t say for sure.but just putting a different angle to the effect that it’s not always a fault of our own…FWIW I think they will bring someone in anyway..

    So do I
Regardless of what people’s perception of Tony,s ambition is I think he,ll at least give it a go. Too much money to lose next season to throw the towel in now
If no one comes in then it won’t be for the lack of trying.

Unfortunately I think the outcome will be the same though but let’s at least try

It’s the usual template on here…

Endless griping of bringing nobody in..

Then when we do bring someone in…then they will pulling them to pieces about their careers, injuries, current fitness, played for a team we don’t like before,….
