We conceded countless goals by losing possession in the opponents half and being caught with both wing backs, the whole midfield and one of our CB’s ahead of the play.
Ironically Swindon's goal was a carbon copy of many we conceded last term
Pass, pass, pass, pass around in our own half, lose it on the halfway line after a risky pass which was intercepted and bingo, a goal against
The difference now if that's the first time I can remember it happening this season
Then we dug in and stopped buggering about

Yes, we were beginning to lose full control before Hinchy's attempted pass to Edwards. Bass's pass to Hinchy was a bit rushed and wasn't along the ground, and Hinchy didn't connect very well, leaving the ball short of Edwards, who was slower to react than the Swindon player. Hinchy probably most at fault, but Bass and Edwards also less than perfect.

I don't think Bass and Hinchy did much wrong. Despite us being really good for most of the last few years, flat-footed ball receivers in midfield has been a recurrent problem. There's probably less time on the ball than in Norway or the NL, but Edwards can't let that happen really.

Sure he will switch up a bit given more minutes, he looks good enough to me.

    Edwards looks decent
Hopefully this was a one off

Hands up, 2000km away but it's hard to get my head around some posts stating that we were hammered when the stats show we enjoyed just over 60% possession.

Having said that, I checked on the game when the stats were similar to the above and it was 1-1 and they had outdone us at eleven shots to five which seems to suggest that we could still do more with the possession we have in terms of shots on goal?

Yeah the notion we were played off the park is ridiculous.

Everything Bass dealt with was routine and from a steady distance. At no point were we scrambling or defending for our lives, nor was Bass ever flinging himself around, grabbing them out of the top bin.

We didn’t have them at arms length, but we weren’t played off the park.

The way we’ve played over the last three seasons makes it weird when the opposition has a bit more than us in the way of pressure and shots. We’re not used to it so it feels like we’re getting hammered - even when we were losing lots last season we generally had the territory in games all the time but got killed on the break. In reality it’s a normal thing to happen sometimes, especially away from home.

100%. When we got promoted, some fans in the ground would get so irate when an opposition had a shot or two in quick succession. Recency bias at its best.

The bonus to that I suppose is the opposition are more open and not packing their third and any break away by them is met by 3 or 4 of our players and not a ball over the top or into space beyond one defender.
I also think the balance is just about right between defence and attack and we look more capable (and confident) across the whole pitch.
