"If the supreme court rules in favor of the “non-African-American” voters and vacates what is left of the Voting Rights Act, as they are expected to, then a decision will probably come down sometime in June, just a few months before the November 2026 midterms. The resulting racial gerrymanders are expected to net Republicans 19 House seats."

Highlights the huge differences in cultures mon ami. Here we send our discredited Royals to Coventry and oblivion, in the US the convicted fraudster and alleged speedofile gets to destroy the White House and build a pfhucking ballroom.

Very little difference in culture mon ami, what America does today, we do tomorrow. Political Correctness, Wokery, BLM and knee-taking, political activist judges all imported from the USA and you can even see it into the future as they've voted in a right-wing president and we'll soon be voting in Prime Minister Farage.

Your lack of historical knowledge is showing again mon ami, Trump adding a ballroom at no expense to the American taxpayer is just the latest in a whole line of additions, renovations and rebuildings which have occurred under previous presidents. Truman virtually knocked it down and rebuilt it after WW2, seems he wasn't happy about his wife's piano falling through the rotten floorboards. Roosevelt built the West Wing in 1902, Coolidge converted the attic into the 3rd floor in 1927, Lady Bird Johnson redesigned the gardens and created a children's garden, Gerald Ford built an outdoor swimming pool, very few presidents have not tinkered with the White House to a greater or lesser degree.

I'm considering charging you for these tutorials in future mon ami, I'm getting fed up of having to fill in the gaps in your knowledge for free. You don't even say thank you.

I have mentioned many times before that I retained friendships with Americans I met during my commercial trips into the US.

A couple are Democrats and another couple are Republicans but they seem to be in congruence with this report:

WASHINGTON − President Donald Trump shocked historic preservationists and incensed Democratic opponents with the demolition on the East Wing of the White House this week to make room for a $300 million ballroom he plans to pay for with private dollars.

Demolition crews started on Monday, Oct. 20, by tearing down the East Wing's east entrance. The work expanded to the entire East Wing, historically used as office space for the first lady and her staff. The full demolition is expected to be finished in the coming days, and construction is expected to last throughout most of Trump's second term.

The project has raised questions about whether Trump has the legal authority to decide unilaterally to bulldoze a large chunk of "The People's House" ‒ and to build a 90,000-square foot structure in its place that will tower over the main White House building.

Trump is tearing down the very fabric of the US and no-one seems to have the will to stop him. Reminds me a lot of Hitler's Germany in the 1930's.

"Hitler, like Trump, was legitimately and democratically elected. Immediately on coming to power in 1933, he began issuing executive decrees and sidelining the parliamentary Reichstag. One of his first orders was the pardon and release of hundreds of his followers who had been jailed for violent attacks on left-wing supporters, for arson, and even for murder.

In late 1932, nine Nazi brownshirts murdered a German Communist Party member by kicking him to death in his own house in front of his family. Six were convicted, of whom five were sentenced to death. After the trial, Hitler sent them a telegram declaring his “boundless loyalty” to those thugs. After becoming Chancellor, he pardoned all of them.

Throughout the 1930s, many other Nazis convicted for murder and serious assaults by the few courts still willing to adhere to the law were pardoned, but by 1939 such brave judges and prosecutors had been purged, and the justice system became a wholly compliant tool of the regime.

Until a few days ago, neo-fascist Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the Proud Boys, was serving a 22-year jail term for organising the January 6 violent insurrection, and Oath Keeper founder Stewart Rhodes was serving 18 years. Both were released by Trump. Their first utterances on walking free were to swear to vengeance on those in the judicial system who put them behind bars."

    Sound familiar mon ami?

    Thank you Stephen and Nigel...

Racism Increasing Against Nurses in UK
According to reports, at the heart of the RCN's findings lies a disturbing truth: the very people who ensure public health are being met with prejudice. The analysis shows that the number of reports has climbed by 55 per cent over three years. Reports include scenarios where a nurse on annual leave was told by her manager she should not have come to the UK, and another who was told by a colleague: 'I want to remind you that you're not one of us.' Such remarks send a chilling message that some staff are not truly seen as part of their workplace community. Another nurse was subjected to abuse from a patient and their family, who refused treatment because they said they did not want 'people like her' attending them and referred to her as a 'slave'. These incidents highlight how racism is infiltrating environments that should ideally be safe and inclusive.
