As a new player from the continent i would imagine their heart sinks when they walk into TheAuldHunStand for the first time having passed Tannadice on the way up.

Player "Wait what... they aren't even the biggest club in this relatively small city?"

Agent "No and they haven't qualified for European football via their league position for 50 years....... but, they are the oldest club atleast"

The fun are looking in great shape for next season

Tbf it has been a tough league cup group but they are still putting in decent performances even if the results haven?t been great

Airdrie avoided relegation from championship and Alloa almost got into the league one play offs - top sides imho

Montrose and Bonnyrigg will also be tough opponents for our friends up the road but this is all good prep for the season starting

You might be about to record an all time lowest home attendance on Saturday. Meanwhile on Thursday Tannadice is all but sold out for a European tie.

I would 100% add Docherty to our backroom staff. Had Dundee playing decent football last season and seemed to get them playing some decent, attacking football. He was poor defensively but I think he would compliment JG's organised approach. He would definitely improve us as a team. Thoughts?

I would be inclined to agree; he and McInness were a good pairing and Docherty has always been highly thought of. Not sure how it would work out with Sharpe as well, but if it were a goer, I?m sure they could make it work.

Would we have to crucify him every Friday and resurrect him on a Monday?

I can see where you're going with it but it would surely destabilise our off field team.
He will turn up at Motherwell/St Mirren/Killie when the next vacancy arises and the West coast media will resume their W***kathon over him.
