My dentist and GP are pestering me to go for annual check-ups, but insist I have to wear a mask to even enter the premises.

The staff were dumbfounded when they got told to "F*ck Off!", I'm not coming.

Now Boris is doing the sneaky snorkelling bit and introducing vaccine passports by the back door.

Most of us on here will now need a passport to go nightclubbing!

Besides the vaccine passports, it won't be long before the Government are asking for their emergency powers to be extended for another six months. Seeing as there is no emergency, they don't need emergency powers, but Labour will go along with it and the government can do as it pleases for another six months. Where's the fecking army when you need it, get them tanks into Whitehall, or maybe we don't have any tanks any more ?

South Australia's home quarantine trial

It will start this week for people returning from New South Wales and Victoria.

People wanting to return to South Australia and home quarantine will have to apply to SA Health.

They will have to prove they have a place to isolate during their quarantine period and must also be fully vaccinated.

Those who are approved will have to download the South Australian Government home quarantine app, which uses geo-location and facial recognition software to track those in quarantine.

The app will contact people at random asking them to provide proof of their location within 15 minutes.

We don't tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes," Mr Marshall said.

If a person cannot successfully verify their location or identity when requested, SA Health will notify SA Police who will conduct an in-person check on the person in quarantine.

Passing our local pharmacy this morning I saw a sign saying "Covid 19 Testing Kit -----FREE ----(for those with no symptoms)

Amongst the intelligentsia posting on this forum please can anyone tell me why you would test yourself for something for which you have no symptoms?
Then ---having tested yourself and found to have the Virus it would appear that they tell you to self isolate, however, you do not seek treatment for this Virus.
Question is ---are you clear of the no-symptom virus after 10 days isolation or are you expected to pick up another FREE testing kit to see if you still have the virus? OR ---should you then seek an appointment with your GP who is probably not seeing patients face to face and they will give you the all clear by telephone?
If you still have the virus, are you then expected to self-isolate for another 10 days, again without receiving any treatment and then after 10 days are you clear etc., etc. -------ad nauseam.

I have no symptoms for Malaria ---but I can't get a test anywhere. I have no symptoms for anything at all----so why can I not get a free testing kit for my no-symptom illnesses? All a bit strange.

We get an absolute blizzard of instructions regarding how to avoid Covid, wash your hands while singing Happy Birthday to You, wear a Face Mask, do not go within six feet of another human being, stay at home, self-isolate, download the NHS App, or is it a Test and Trace App, or are there two different ones, I don't know, take a PCR test, take a Lateral Flow Test, get a jab, get a 2nd Jab, do not go abroad, stay in your own locality, do not sit on park benches with a friend, don't hug your Granny at Christmas, you'll kill her, are just some I can remember.

But, what to do if you actually do catch the bloody thing ? I can remember right at the beginning some discussion about whether Nurofen or Paracetamol was best, but since then nothing, not a bloody thing, I honestly do not know what the best thing to do is if I have it. Why is the government spending so much time and money telling us how to avoid it, while it doesn't give a FF about what you do when you have got it.

BT ---that begs the question ---is it the government or, as Norder intimates, is it way beyond governments? This isn't just happening in our country, it is happening in lots of other democratic countries throughout the world as well as the communist countries who tend to have to do as they are told.
