"Calling the shots"? I hope you meant that

Meanwhile, according to our beloved government, despite testing being down 14%, new cases are on the rise again as are hospital admissions and deaths. Freedumb day is kicking in around about now I guess.

Lockdown by default is killing the economy and causing the usual societal mess: "One and a half million people were told to isolate in the week to 21 July either because they tested positive (307,758) were contacted by Test and Trace directly (536,338) or were pinged (678,102)." "Freedom Day" my arse.

Testing goes up and down on a daily basis, and often by much more than 14%, cases, hospitalisations and deaths do not rise or fall in a linear fashion, some days they rise, some days they fall. We still seem to be trailing Scotland by a couple of weeks, cases peaked there on June 28th at just under 4,000, in a month they have fallen to under 1,000, but during that month there were six days when case numbers rose.

I have a gut feeling the virus will just run out of steam army88. Ebola went the same way. Four of my ex-wives also found a way to "get away faster".

Today....French Folk from across the country practised their right to protest - this time, against the despotic scum and their Anti-liberty - Pro-Fascist Health Pass.

Paris protest against Macron's health pass

I think many are Now - finally realising what this Convid performance is all about.

I expect cases will be rising again over the next couple of days, I wonder if this will be taken by some of the more excitable as proof that's it's 'not over yet'.

The nurse across the road just shakes her head and wonders why Bolton Royal is virtually empty and operations are still being cancelled at a moment's notice.

When I asked her how many patients are in the ICU because of Covid she just responds with another shake of the head and told me she is not at liberty to say.

Make of it what you will, but the bodies are not still piling up in Bolton.

With the number of deaths this year running at below the five year average, most undertakers are laying staff off and twiddling their thumbs.
