I suppose it depends on what levelling up means. I am not going to repeat all his defence, and not sure I agree with it, but he says that levelling up includes rural areas not being ignored in favour of urban areas.
Truss still says she will reduce taxes - let's see what happens when she inherits a massive recession. Back to austerity I am afraid (if it ever ended). Pretty sure she's a puppet.
I am not that bothered who wins, perfect time for the 'none of the above' vote.

The country is in chaos, raging inflation, strikes, water shortage etc, etc and no PM at the helm due to the Tory party’s joke of a leader-ship election meanwhile, our inglorious Boris (who is actually still the PM) has just said “**** it’ and gone off on bloody holiday!!!. He perhaps could have tried to win a few brownie points by getting involved and showed a bit of leadership, Just shows what an absolute narcissist he really is.

I say well done to Boris. He was hounded out by his own party, so why stay on making decisions that would not get support. There is no chance Boris would have earned any Brownie points, as everything he did was abused by all and sundry. He could have given all these striking militants what they wanted and it still wouldn't have been enough.
Cannot see why they had to have such a long leadership race at this time. The hustings are an absolute waste of time. Truss in particular seems to say what she thinks is popular at the time but gets it so wrong. Reduce taxes (won't help those who really need it). no 'handouts' (to then U turn), pay civil servants different depending where they work (another U turn) etc.
Whoever takes over (pretty sure it will be Truss) can't say, 'Didn't see this coming' (as Boris could with Covid) so they need to hit the ground running.
I don't really think it matters who is in power, as we are puppets of the WEF. If we do have any power to control our destiny, and continue along the green highway, we can expect to have this inflated cost of living with us for the foreseeable.
Cheers Greta, or whoever controls her.
You do a pretty good job yourself.
Any fool could see that the last few years have been unusual to say the least for a government in power. If I believed Labour would have us in a stronger position economically then fair enough, but their covid stance was the same, if not harder lockdown rules and for longer applied, so more financial wreckage. Their energy policy would be as green or greener, so as above.
Please don't call them my Tories as I would happily live without any or the lying scumbags that politicians are, from all parties.
Tell me it is not true that if we had carried on using our oil, gas and started fracking and got our cleaner nuclear up and running sooner (stopped by Labour) we wouldn't be in this financial mess economically speaking.
