Piglet, I’d be interested to hear which bit of the celestial mass those coordinates pinpoint, but I’ve never been a great fan of anything referencing theJulian epoch. I was born before the turn of the century so I’m a Bessalian sort of bloke. Anyway, the correct answer was The Star newspaper, so no point.
Tranmere v Bury was postponed (more of this later) so this was another low-scoring week but, hold on, there were some notable achievements. Average was only 4.7. Gaz top-scored with 8, and this was enough to lift him off the bottom, a position now held again by Chalky. Sorry mate, Notts County still on the cusp and you in wooden-spoon territory; what a horrible week. Anyway, get that retirement sorted and SMILE.
At the other end of the table NZBlue’s 6 was enough to place him on the summit. Pete has only managed 1 for two weeks running for which I’m certain NZBlue and Howoldboy are truly grateful. One was the lowest score, also achieved by Piglet after not entering last week. That was enough to drop him down three spots to 9th -exactly midway in the table.
By default Psaw also gets 1 having declared early that he wouldn’t be entering as he was away. Schoolboy howler Frank. Why not leave a speculative set of predictions like others do, or (novel idea this) POST WHILE YOU’RE AWAY? I know that you blame computers for everything, but finishing towards the bottom of this table is serious stuff, giving the rest of us ammunition to point and laugh for the next year. Seriously.
Anyway, biggest movers this week were Psaw, plunging four places, with Piglet and Altobelli dropping three. AussieBranch returned from his nuptials (if I’ve read this right) and climbed from 9th to 6th. Congratulations all round mate.
Returning to this postponed game, it’ll be played on Tuesday according to the BBC. It could be really significant. NZBlue has gone for an away, Howoldboy 1-1 and Pete home - they can’t all be right! It could be even tighter by the end of the game.
Next week is the last week and no-one can really afford to miss it. L2’s last fixtures are on Saturday afternoon with L1 playing in the evening. The last Championship fixtures are set for Sunday lunchtime so this will be a drawn out last week. Bragging-rights are still up for grabs - don’t miss it!
