I'm guessing this is another attempt at EDGINESS.
Lockdowns didn't work, so what would you have done?

Far far too many folk on benefits.
The weird thing is that folk who claim to be on the left want to keep them on benefits.

Problem is there's generational, systemic, sociological disenfranchisement rife in this country.
You don't fix that by cutting benefits, it takes generations of targeted, effective investment in education and social care.

You don't undo forty odd years of "letting the markets decide" in two budgets.

You don't undo years of the Labour party keeping the west coasters on the dole because it guaranteed a Labour vote in two budgets either.

Eventually it didn't work for Labour, it certainly didn't work for Scotland.

But it's eventually down to the individual, do you want to earn your way in the world or do you want to be a sponger?

Unfortunately, we know what they'd rather do.

They may well say they want to earn their way, but as long as it didn't mean getting up in the morning every day.

Absolute common sense and well observed, Years and years of wrong priorities Wars, cutting taxes, boosting defense spending and the UK’s global standing and looking after big business are these ****s priorities. The very minimum has been done on the UKs social infrastructure.. Public services, NHS, Housing and bridging the equality gap. The UK is phucked and its getting worse ..Dare I say time to get out !

Could have done what Sweden did and had one of the lowest death rates in Europe.
