Betfred Championship Grand Final Wakefield Trinity v Olympique Toulouse ( Preview )

Well this is it on Saturday Evening the game we've eagerly anticipated for quite a while with the two best teams in the championship going head to head for the title .

I haven't thought about anything else all week and it reminds me of 1997 and the week building up to the Bradford game in our PL promotion season .

It's pretty simple for Trinity , play as well as we can and we will win but anything below our standards gives Toulouse a shot at winning the game .

York Knights gave us one hell of a scare in Sunday's semi final and I don't think we will make the same mistake again .

It should be a memorable night at Belle Vue on Saturday night .

Best of luck to Trinity pal. It's been a great season and interesting keeping tabs on this thread.

Toulouse will be odds on to lose- sorry, couldn't resist!

What sort of attendances do Toulouse get, is it worth them even having a RL team ?.
If I had to choose, then obviously I'd say that the Super League needs Wakey in it, much more than any French team.
Although to be honest, Catalans are a much improved team in recent years.

Looks like a crowd of around 7500 with about 15 supporters from TouLOSE excuse the pun Pass! so the noise supporting the Trinity players will be excellent.

I expect the game to be played at a high tempo and quite brutal at times, so can see a couple of yellow cards and 10 mins in the sin bin, hopefully Toulouse players.

If Wakefield can cut out the handling errors which nearly was their downfall against York last week we will come out on top, but it's going to be a mighty close affair in my opinion.

Gutted I will not be at the game. Time difference in Dhaka being 5 hours means it kicks off at 12 midnight local time and I will be in Dhaka airport waiting for a 2-10am flight to Hong Kong so hoping my internet connection is ok and can watch the live stream and that the game will be won by the time I am boarding my plane.

Enjoy the game Animal - I hope to raise a glass of red on the plane once we are out of Dhaka airspace as local law does not allow alcohol served until after take off.

I'll try and enjoy the game Chop but a tight game may well be too much for the old nerves .

Hope you can get a feed from the airport mate and I know you'll be there in spirit .

    Up The Trin .

Haha Pass - strange you can drink in the airport lounge, but when I get on the Cathay Pacific plane they are not allowed to serve alcohol before take off, normally they would offer soft drinks or a glass of champagne prior to take off, so I have to do with a soft drink.

Anyway Pass you try and watch the game on the Sportsman you tube link.
