It's interesting that Portsmouth release 2 very experienced ,injury free defenders that have just won them the League 1 title.I accept that the gulf between League 1 and The Champ is huge but if you haven't got zillions to spend then you need to retain at least a whiff of the spirit and structure that got you there.We should know that,it's only last season we didn't and look where that got us!

We have probably already bought a large percentage of a team that is good enough to play in the championship (that’s not to say we’ll do anything outstanding!). We could probably have made a title winning side out of the players we had injured last season.

Sean Raggett caught a lot of Pompey fans out with a near flawless season when he came in to replace Regan Poole. He needs a very solid left CH alongside him though. Have you got one?
