MOTHERWELL -VS- RANGERS
In a match at Fir Park in February 1978, Motherwell were up 2-0 and cruising thanks to goals from Vic Davidson and Jimmy O?Rourke. Obviously upset with how the game was panning out, a large portion of the visiting support invaded the pitch and refused to leave forcing the play to be halted and the players to leave the pitch. When play eventually resumed, the atmosphere had been altered significantly to the effect that Rangers and an inspired Derek Johnstone put five past ?Well goalkeeper Stuart Rennie to win comfortably. The SFA investigated the matter and incredibly, allowed the result to stand.

We gave them a 3-0 shoeing at their crumbling asbestos-heavy midden in September 1985 when they had Hugh Burns and Craig Paterson sent off. Tattie wound up their West Enclosure nutjobs that afternoon to the extent that they attempted a pitch invasion. They were fined for this infraction, but somehow so were we. Cnuts.

Burns tackle on Hewitt was only 'bettered' by Cleland? on Del Pierro. Totally halved after being ripped to shreds by JH thankfully Hewitt was fine which made Burns 'tackle' slap stick - hopefully that's what his entire career is remembered by - further contrast to our no. 11.
I have heard, unsubstantiated, rumours that Glasgow's finest came into the changing room at half time to ask Fergie to go easy in the second half for fear of a riot. I do remember a glass ashtray being launched onto the pitch from the enclosure - who the fck takes an ashtray to the fitba?
