This person wouldn't perhaps have the same name as someone who scored a crucial goal for us over 20 years ago would they?

Huddersfield at home? Was that really over 20 years ago?

Further to matt_magpies' post here is the first part of the Swansea statement:-

"Swansea City is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Montague as the club's new Director of Football.
Richard, who previously served as the Executive Director at Notts County, will officially join the Swans on Tuesday, February 18th.

In his new role, Richard will be responsible for overseeing all football operations and supporting the club's recruitment strategy.
His extensive experience and proven track record in football make him a key addition to the Swansea City family.

Richard began his career in 2011 with Football Radar, where he rose to become Head of Football Analysis.
He led a team of 100, developing advanced methods for football analysis and focusing on predicting game outcomes using match and player data.

In 2019, Richard moved to Notts County as Executive Director, effectively serving as Director of Football.
He was tasked with running the club's football operations, including overseeing player recruitment, managerial appointments, academy operations, medical, sports science, and analysis.
    "

So effectively our Director of Football. His role was much wider than just recruitment. He leaves this week
    A big hole to fill.

Seems he might be in name only and not the actual player.

Regularly slags off the 'social media numpties' then goes on to use social media. Very tiresome and judgmental, no wonder he collects a bit of heat. This week proclaimed the stupidity of the concern about Montague possibly departing and completely and totally dismissed it by stating 'it ain't happening'.

There's only one reason worth tuning in, in my opinion and that's Mark Stallard who is always worth listening to for his common sense, knowledge and insights. When the host finally stops talking that is.

As for Montague, I think he will be a loss to the club. I feel confident though that the Reedtz will find a suitable replacement.

As others have said, amusing to hear Paul Mace talk about the usual 'internet numpties'............

Yep, after the sad loss of Jason Turner
