This is a good interview with Wilshire and touches on a few points I would have been concerned about such as his passion, his ability to understand what league 2 players can do and also too tippy tappy

The only problem with employing those ex high profile players is that they tend to use the club as a stepping stone. I would prefer someone who would give us a little more long term stability..

I suspect we may look for a recently retired player who is coaching at another club - similar to what Portsmouth did last season with John Mousinho from Oxford
Didzy will possibly go down that route eventually but he may want to carry on playing for another year

His interview is in The Nest (although not ours).

    Obviously a hidden message there!

Unfortunately, we're at a point where any coach or manager is likely to see us as a stepping stone. If someone takes the job and manages to get us up and then into the promotion mix in League One, it's almost certain that bigger clubs will come calling. Realistically, I doubt we can match the kind of salary or opportunities needed to keep them here long-term.

We're a League Two club, not Real Madrid. *Any* manager will see us a stepping stone.

Chris Millington (no, me neither) has left Halifax , and BetVictor have immediately dropped him into the running at a tempting 10/1......

Strangely, Halifax fans are clamouring for Maynard as his replacement.
