Was McInnes a holding midfielder when he played ? It might explain his overtly love for such a player. Trying to relive his playing career vicariously through others.

He wasn’t that particularly good as a player but kept things simple. He was a trier though so this helped his career. I believe he likes a sitting midfielder as he is not very good at coaching forward play so he tries to make us hard to beat.

I see in The Times that: -

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is backing summer singing James Wilson to fulfil his potential at Pittodrie and believes the striker's big-money contract with Manchester United proved a burden.
Well, lets see if he gets a start tomorrow then.
He's nae going to fulfill his potential from the bench.

I honestly have sympathy with all our strikers. They are up against it from the off as our 1 man up top policy is not particularly suited to any of them. Cosgrove has scored a few goals but probably a good chunk is with penalties.

Out of the 9 he’s scored this season before the end of Ugust, I think 3 were pens (RoPs, Chikhura and Hearts)

In fact having conducted an online search it looks like Muir of Ord is in the Highlands somewhere. So any of you local lads ken where I'm on about? It was a fairly big pond on a back road between Peterculter and Mason Lodge. There used to be swans settled in the pond, could of sworn it was Muir of Ord but computer says no. Ord dam maybe?

I've not been there for about 45 years mind you. Google maps shows no ponds so maybe it dried up or got built over

Jeez, you don't even remember which thread to reply to JJ. I think the multiple personas are starting to mess with your brain.
