It doesn't give us a creative type sitting in a 10 role, but might actually be more effective if we're getting the ball wide then into the box, having 2 midfielders making late runs in, or latching on to Cosgrove's first touch...

He might be made of soup and be inconsistent but we really need a GMS style player. A quick flash of skill might be all that's needed in certain games. I can't see that coming from anyone else.

No brainer for me. Experienced, handles pressure well and can chip in with the odd assist and goal. He's free as well. Do it.

Doesn't look like he's had a proper injury since 2015. He's just struggled with getting a game outwith Killie.

Sometimes I think Celtic sign players so opposition teams don’t have them rather than with a view to playing them every week. This is maybe a case in point.

He certainly looked good though playing against us for Kilmarnock. I recall that he was quite aggressive and direct in his playing style.

BR paid £2M for him so he must have seen a decent player there not all that long ago! Worth a punt from DM on a free transfer?!
