Aden Baldwins put a few bits on Twitter, says him and the club couldn’t come to an agreement so appears we wanted him stay if it’s to be believed.

That was doing the rounds, also wasn't going to be a guaranteed 1st teamer, just a squad player.

Does anyone get a guarantee that they’re going to be picked every week?

If they offered Baldwin a contract he would be foolish not to accept it, especially after some of his performances last season no player would be guaranteed a starting position. Look at Grealish at Man City and many other great players. Seems like a little bit of arrogance let's see where he ends up next season.

I reckon he would be a nailed-on starter for many teams in the NL. Less money I assume, but that might not be what he's seeking to maximise.

I would imagine the answer would be no but some players I’m sure the conversation has to be had certainly with the more senior ones. For example last season wasn’t Slocombe supposed to be taking more of a back seat role? Then there was JOB and Rawlinson. It becomes an accepted part of getting older. The same will no doubt apply to Didzy who’s game time will need to be managed if we want the best out of him.

The likes of Macca, Jones, Palmer, Crowley should be all but guaranteed starters when fit as they are our best players and no doubt train well otherwise they wouldn’t have played so much previously. The same goes for the teams captain who is currently Cameron.

Matt Macey - 6'7" GK, 29, ex-Arsenal, just left Pompey on a free.

Interesting but we're full of Matts.
