I'm pretty certain he is off and I'm still not sure whether I am really all that bothered either way, will we miss him? some games yes some games no.
Think Lewis Ferguson will be a decent replacement for him with young Dean Campbell coming in and stepping up into the current Lewis Ferguson role
That perhaps is arguably leaving us relying too much on the youngsters, but it might just be the way forward for this club as they don't appear to have any real appetite or ambition when it comes to transfer windows and bringing in real talent. (granted Lewis Ferguson is an exception to that statement)

    Ferguson is the exception????

So you don’t rate Cosgrove, something like 14 in the last 13, scored two in the Dubai friendly too.
You don’t rate Stewart, GMS or McGinn.
Shinnie can be replaced by Campbell
Lowe’s obviously poor in your opinion, as is Devlin and Hoban.
Suppose you’d rather have Clangers than Lewis, seeing as Ferguson is the only exception.

I'm assuming you're not counting loans (or borrows or whatever we're allowed to call them) in your assessment? Some of our loan singings have been good. Permanent signings have been hit and miss, but that's the market we're in. In the last year or so, Ferguson has been a great signing, Cosgrove is well on his way to proving us all wrong and turning out to be a good signing, and Devlin has been a good signing, although time will tell how much he contributes due to his injury proneness.

I don't think we should rely on the youngsters as some of them will inevitably turn out to be not good enough. Out of McLennan, Wright, Ross, Anderson, Campbell I would imagine maybe only 1 or 2 of them will turn out to be good enough to become first team regulars for us - most will be bit part players, squad fillers, who can do a job if called upon, but will end up having careers in the lower leagues. That's how it tends to go with young players anyway.

Read it again min, read it again ffs
I think you will find I said Ferguson is AN exception and not THEE exception which indicates he is NOT the only exception ffs.
Now, glad we cleared that up.
Also Campbell will not be Shinnie's replacement, but given time and game time he can do a role for us and give the Shinne role to Lewis Ferguson.
Im looking for the midfield pal, and the last time I checked neither Lowe, Hoban or Devlin were or are midfielder's but maybe I have missed something
Oh and will Hoban and Lowe be here again next season.....

The red tinted glasses on here that some folks wear are remarkable

So glad you also rate the players I mentioned on top of Derguson.

So Shinnie and Ferguson become Ferguson and Campbell.
    Glad we cleared that up.

Campbell is nowhere ready to take that on full time.
I agree the loon needs gametime, but should go out on loan to get it.

Sorry, it wasn’t clear in your ramblings about the transfer window and ambition.

Moot point as they’re not midfielders, are they?
But to answer your question, probably not, who knows?

Lowe may be an option, he’s already said he wanted to stay here beyond the winter break and didn’t seem to be in Derby’s thoughts despite their injury situation at left back.
4th or 5th choice in the championship, maybe it will depend where Derby are next season.
I’m not closing my eyes at an option of another years loan or even discussions to buy if not in Derby’s plans.

Hoban’s good, but do we see him going into Watford’s first team?
I don’t, so we may be lucky and he likes it up here, who knows? No-one
He is out of contract this summer I believe, so potentially.......

Shinnie is off....he has had enough of Del’s sh!tebag tactics. Shinnie wants to win trophies in Scotland, not just taking part to make up the numbers. He can do that in England for a hell of a lot more cash.

So which trophies will he be competing for in England when he signs for Rotherham or whoever? If he goes down there it’s for money and **** all else.

Agreed. We have not won as much as we could/should in the past 5 years (and to be fair, none whilst Shinnie has been here), but Shinnie is unlikely to be signing for a high flying team, unless it is in English Division 1.
