The majority of Palestinian youths engaged in the practice appear to regard it as symbolic and non-violent, given the disparity in power and equipment between the Israeli forces and the Palestinian stone-throwers, with many considering it a method of deterring Israeli military forces and civilians from the occupation of Palestinian lands.

Children learn to use the same kind of sling employed by David to kill Goliath, and stone throwing has been, according to Jonathan Cook, an 'enduring symbol' of how the weak can challenge the strong.

Numerous Palestinian poems and popular songs celebrate the heroism of children who throw stones, and in some of them the imagery of this episode in the Quran is deployed so that America is compared to the elephant herd, while Palestinians are assimilated to the stone-throwing birds, (a connection made also by Saddam Hussein, who called one of his missiles, somewhat ungrammatically, al-ḥijāra al-sarukh, 'the stone that is a missile'.

BT: Yes it looks shocking a video in Pizgat Ze'eva is an Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem and the largest residential neighborhood in Jerusalem with a population of over 50,000. Do you think Jews just kill kids? That kid has come there in order to stab some jewish person.In that video you can see a policeman is holding a knife.We never ask - why has the kid been killed?Why can a kid so young kill? But it is not just one incident that happened in 2017.
In January 2017: 3 stabbings or attempted stabbings; 9 shootings; 2 ramming attack, 9 roadside bombs/grenades; 293 stone-throwing attacks, 44 Molotov cocktails.
In February 2017: 1 stabbing or attempted stabbing; 5 shootings; 1 ramming attack, 7 roadside bombs/grenades; 260 stone-throwing attacks, 53 Molotov cocktails.

Muslims seem very good at criticizing others but they are unable to criticize themselves. Now the real difference between the West and the rest is that Westerners worthy that name have a good developed sense of self-criticism and of self-investigation. The Koran itself is against developing any self-critical attitude and self-doubt.
Wherever Muslims live with other cultural and religious groups you always get violent conflicts. Whether that is in Philippines, Thailand, China or Europe.
ISLAM = NO SELF-CRITICISM WHATSOEVER!
Because of that Islam will never be able to operate in a peaceful manner in the European society. It is at its core not compatible with Western civilization which basis is self-criticism and self-doubt. Politicians in Europe have not understood this at all, mainly because most politicians by nature are only self-serving egotists. How on earth can you build up a multicultural society with cultures which are at their core anti-multicultural? Why did they let all kinds of people in who hate Westerners and are always ready to point an accusing finger towards us? Do they really think that they are going to make friends in Europe that way? But then again it was never Islam’s intention to make friends in the West only helpful idiots.

Indoctrination?
In a series of well know hadiths, Muhammad foretells that on the final days Jews will hide behind stones and trees but the stone and the tree will speak and shout(Sura 2:225, ) "Oh Muslim, a Jew is hiding behind me!" and the Muslim will go and kill the Jews".
Sura 3:28. ''Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.''
Sura 5:51 "O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verity Allah guides not a people unjust."
Sura 8:38-39 "Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from unbelief), their past would be forgiven them; but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them). And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression.
Sura 9:5 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them..."
