To answer the thread title, yes. 10-12 games to show we're moving forward. If we're not in the playoff places by then I'll be very surprised and disappointed.

However, after one single 1-0 away defeat I'm flabbergasted by the negativity on NCM. It's inbarrassing. By the way, in my book a new season is a clean sheet and that single result is all that actually matters right now to our fortunes. Previous seasons, play off defeats etc. are simply history now.

The thing is with a manager you judge their whole time at a club, and when you see the same failures continually repeated, it is hard to think of a clean slate
Given the financial backing ,and the squad we have, anything less than a play off place would be criminal. But here lies the problem, a play off place in itself is not enough, to progress you then have to win in the play offs , or be champions and automatically promoted - beyond Ardley,s reach in my opinion but this season will tell

The reason we lost ground was for the rubbish results in november/December that started with the mauling by Barrow 0f 3-0 at home. As i said before 3rd when it was curtailed, our highest position, most of it was lower in the table, i think we would of finished lower, others higher, either way no way we would have caught barrow and Harrogate. In the end Ardley failed, we ended up no betterr than a club in the bottom half
As for Wimbledon he was sacked in 2018 after a terrible run of losses , then came to Notts and relegated us, testament to his losing track record
2 teams were promoted, 22 weren't. We did end up better than teams in the bottom half (some of them relegated).

We could have caught the others, we were on a great run (who was manager then?) including beating Barrow away, however the game went.

Maybe you ought to follow a Prem team - I suggest Man City who with all their riches have 1 point from 6.

We did not end up any better than the teams who were not relegated

Not a chance we could have over taken both Harragate and Barrow. Any team can go on patches of winning, its consistency over a season that gets promotion- what about our poor form in november/december .
Our great run, where did it get us, i tell you where another season in the National league

Of course there was a chance we could have (although I think we would have fallen just short). To say there's 'not a chance' isn't true.

Have you chosen yet? Man City? Man Utd? ..........

We could critique all Notts many many failed managers in this way. It's nothing new. As fans it's really easy to do.

NCM is not an accurate barometer of the fanbase it doesn't provide an overall balanced view but no doubt the fanbase is divided. I'm sure it's the same at many clubs up and down the land including one just up the A60 who are one of the favourites for their league have spent big and started their season very poorly. Although I'm sure they didn't start after their first defeat.

10 games is the minimum for me, and if the club's record is poor at that stage and the owners lose faith in their manager then they should get rid.

We all believe the owners love stats, even more than Davy does, so I'm sure they are reviewing his managerial stats and will make their decision partly based on how he performs. If they want to get rid, then so be it. I fully support their decision.

We should let them make the decision when they want to. If anyone wants them to hurry up and sack him, write them a direct letter. Will be far more effective than posting on this thread.

They did,nt start after their first defeat because their manager doesn,t have a track record of failure

Hurry up sacking him??? My main fear is this muppett will still be in charge in another 3 years, and we will still be in the national league or lower, dont think Ardley can,t relegate us again, because his track record shows he could

And don't forget 'Melodrama' Davy he was the manager who took us out of the football league!!

Burn him! Drown him! Hang him! Or at least Sack him now!! He's worse than Fullarton FFS

    Now where's my pitchfork?

Quite right he should have been sacked after relegating us, if relegating a club does not warrant being sacked nothing will

And to date, barring relegation from the NL we would not have been any worse of with a different Manager, another manager might have even got us promoted
