Probably agree with most of what you said...we have massively under performed for too much of the season but don't think there's much difference in the level of the championship over the last 5 seasons and on the subject of Raith they've kind of done the same as Livingston..sure I said to you towards the end of last season that I would've fancied Dundee in the play offs against any of last season's bottom teams and you thought that the SPL teams were a class above...now considering how much United were messed about in the close season and basically left with much the same team you have stayed up quite comfortably which I think shows there's not much difference between the bottom of the SPL and the championship...hope I don't regret saying that🙈...but I believe Hearts will come up and finish top 6

I’m genuinely not poking fun here peter - if it’s you guys against Killie or Accies then I will want Dundee to win. There I said it. Primarily because I want that plastic sh1te tae phuck oot the Premier. To be honest though and it pains me to say it, but based on that evidence tonight there is no danger that either your lot or the Pars will beat Killie or Accies over two legs. No chance.

He never relegated us, as you well know, but why let facts get in the way, eh?
Anyway, well fought victory for you boys tonight, and keeps Pep in his current job. However, got to be a worry how vulnerable you were at times, and as GB said, while your team has goals in them, they are just as likely to leak them. Thoughts?
BA it's the first time since 2016 that we don't look beat as soon as we go behind...the January transfer window has been good to us McMullan has gave us a new dimension with his pace Cummings is class above this league and we got McDaid back by default and the young boy Anderson looks like he'll make it...but you're right about the defence and could ultimately lead to our downfall although to be fair defended well the last 15 when Dunfermline were throwing everything at us...the young boy Banks that came on looks a player

All about opinions but I don't think we would have anything to fear from Hamilton or Ross County although could probably do with avoiding Killie

That Hearts team today would be relegated mate. They will come up but the FOH will need to dig deep for another massive overhaul and i'm not so sure they will do that unless the Bride gets rid of Neilson.
I also disagree with you comparing Livingston with Raith Rovers as the former were established in the Premiership and had the Lyndon Dykes money to play with.
Raith Rovers on the other hand had nothing and probably about a quarter of your budget. How many teams outwith The Rangers have come up from league 1 to 2nd in the Championship after 21 games in the last 5 years?.
I would suggest none and that is what i base my weak Championship argument on.The teams placed second and third have shipped 30 points in 21 games and that is a lot of points.
You only need to look at how close the teams are to either promotion or relegation to acknowledge what i'm saying.

You say that but then we ALL say that about Accies year on year. And yet here they are and they’re still doing what they do and are currently at it again. You say there’s nothing to fear, yet they near beat The Rangers last month and were very unfortunate to have to settle for a 1-1 draw. Underestimate them at your peril................

No i was on about Livingston from last season to this but i stand corrected on the previous season i had forgotten about that to be honest.
Anyway moving on to the present in your league this season it should have been a straight shoot out between the Dees and Hearts for 1st and 2nd anything less would be abject failure and lets be honest here Raith Rovers shouldna be anywhere near either of the establishment clubs but tonight they split you with a tiny budget and they have also beat both of you this season.

In my opinion a properly run Dundee FC should at least be on a par with St. Johnstone and in fact above that level. Either St, Johnstone, for the size of the club, fan base, etc, are punching way above their weight (consistently) or teams like Dundee, Dunfermline, Raith Rovers, etc., all of which come from larger population areas, are underachieving. Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline, along with the surrounding towns and villages, have bigger fan potential than Perth. St. Johnstone have been Jim McLeaning it for quite some time.

I agree with the above, its the people running the Dees over the years who have failed them. The current owner has been good to them financially however his mate has been a very poor CEO.
The Marrs and Melville were a disaster but they are viewed very differently by the support.
