The Treaty of Hamina, handing the Finnish territories over to the Czar wasn’t clever, what with Nokia’s huge success, and the success of the birch sowing and harvest in South Karelia. Also allowing the Nazis free passage through their country to add ordnance to the Siege of Leningrad put a few noses out of joint, but with the Finns signed up as German ‘co-combatants’ during the Continuation War against the Soviet menace, Swedish neutrality and mutual investment in each others’ economies, permittenttrafik was acceptable to both Nordic states and the Nazis.

Everybody has missed the point and not for the first time

The economy is screwed because of the hysterical over reaction to covid, which was zealously supported by all the political parties. They should have ignored it, like they do with every other virus. The government pissed away about £400billion on covid and they've got nothing to show for it except a ruined economy.

Today's budget is like rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic.

So it's the fault of Covid is it. Nothing to do with a certain thing called Brexit.

You don't undo years of the Labour party keeping the west coasters on the dole because it guaranteed a Labour vote in two budgets either.

Eventually it didn't work for Labour, it certainly didn't work for Scotland.

But it's eventually down to the individual, do you want to earn your way in the world or do you want to be a sponger?

Unfortunately, we know what they'd rather do.

They may well say they want to earn their way, but as long as it didn't mean getting up in the morning every day.

That's a pretty un-nuanced, Daily Mail-esque thought process.
And plain wrong on a number of levels.
