It's so refreshing that in the past three years we've been able to be a platform for young players like Cal Roberts (and Kyle Wootton) to do a job for us and then they have moved onto a higher level. Ruben Rodrigues will undoubtedly be next, and if Langstaff continues how he has started the season then it would not surprise me if a club came knocking as early as January.
The reality is that players (and managers) will leave the club at some point. At least doing it this way we have a chance of being more sustainable than before if we can sell one (which may even include a future sell on clause) every so often and that recoups a transfer fee we have paid, or in some cases may have paid the salary for the player that's been brought. In the future it may pay for other players salaries as well.
