Can’t really argue with LW’s team selections, to a large extent anyway. I’d like Scott to have got more game time in the strikers position last year with Macca plying off him somewhere as I think he earned his chance over those winter games….but you just can’t argue with 42 goals! As for defence, LW clearly didn’t rate Tipton, and because he lives and dies by his decisions it’s his prerogative not to pick him. I can’t think of any other players who staked a claim when they played? Let’s be honest, LW didn’t get much wrong. He was hitting a sticky patch just as he left so we’ll never know if he’d have been able to turn it around.
