HP source so we must be buying on the never never or is it really we are never never going to buy this window?
I thought I'd read somewhere that we have an option for an additional year so if Yates does well for the rest of the season we could tie him to another year and then try to sell him.
If not then loan him out again.
Other clubs do this such as Morris at Norwich
Warne on Ben Marshall link...
"I went to meet the player and his agent and had a good couple of hours with them. At this moment in time, it isn't something which Ben wants to do, which is no problem.
"I wanted him to come in and we knew we'd have to get him really fit, but at the moment he's not in a place that he wants to join us, which is absolutely fine."
Move on Warney
I agree wholeheartedly with MT. Move on Warney. Please dont let this be the next Grant Ward saga. Marshalls last contract was terminated by mutual consent 1 year into a 3 year deal. He hasnt played professionally all season. He tells Warne hes "not in a place that he wants to join us". DANGER!
LEAVE WELL ALONE.
Yes Topper, the Warney "magic sponge" hasn't worked on MacDonald... or very well on Robertson or Jones... and took several seasons to have much effect on Morris. Grant Ward would have been a high risk , and Marshall could have been another MacDonald. Seems to be oblivious to the need for fit defenders

Yep if he aint bothered neither should we be. In any case he will take a few weeks to get up to warney pace and we have a good right winger already.

I know we're not at the end of January yet but the transfer market seems pretty quiet overall, are we coming to the end of the yearly big transfer window hype?
I find it refreshing of Marshall to say no at this time. How many players who haven't kicked a ball all season and are out of work, would have just took this offer up to bag a wage? Blackstock for instance....
