13 - 10 in favour of finishing the season now with ppg is my guess..⚽️
14- 9 in favour of ending early with ppg
Health & Safety, Time Constraints, Financial Implications and Logistics, etc, aside..........I would bet on us going up automatic if we had to complete the games.
Yes, we had a wobble, but with the squad reinforced by returning players, especially central defenders I would take our squad over any other in the division.
I wouldn't go for any of the other contrived suggestions either, including the extended play-offs.
What happened to some clubs concerns about the "integrity" of the game? According to some clubs (including their chairman, managers, fans, press), you can't change the rules if it results in Rotherham being automatically promoted (but Coventry can?!?!) but you CAN change the rules to allow other clubs with inferior records another bite of the promotion (or play-off) cherry or it creates another FAKE scenario that prevents clubs from being relegated, even though they are currently in the relegation spots.
When we do Risk Assessments at work, the first question should always be "Can the risk be avoided?"
If the answer is yes, that's sorted.
Therefore, it is a straight forward decision for me. Finish the season now to reduce the risks of COVID exposure and financial burden on all clubs. Then we can all plan for next season (whenever that may be).
Meetings at 10:30 & 4:00 according to some so might have to wait until tomorrow for an announcement
Championship here we come
Cheers 🍻
10.30 and 4.00? Why two meetings? Is this all by video link or an actual meeting somewhere?
First vote is for all 71 EFL clubs to vote on whether they will allow the rules to be changed.
If that vote does allow a change then the later vote is just for L1 owners to choose which option they want.
Apparently there's been a late addition to the afternoon list and it,s for Pboro to play Tranmere in a best of five game scenario. No prizes it just allows them to play football again as they've been asking to do for a while now
Even though it's via video link Tone has apparently requested that Guy Branston sits next to him in case Mr angry starts getting mardy and dishing out threats again.
Talk sport are saying the afternoon vote has been brought forward to 3pm
Might suggest we will hear summat today...
