    Firmly tongue in cheek.

The tactical change was a failure.

All young, still very much learning their trade and all absolute quality for Notts. All depends on their natural ability Laxton.
All four came from top clubs when we were in League 1, and all were young players with very bright futures at the time. The only player approaching that calibre since was Yates.

But it raises the question of what level of player we should be looking at now we’re in “division five”. There was a lot of consternation when we signed Knowles from Mansfield, but he’s been the pick of the loanees and definitely provided us with a bit of a reality check.

A big decision this summer will be how we use loanees next season and how we can improve on this season’s scattershot approach. That will also tie in with what happens to the youth set-up.

I hope we concentrate on getting a strong starting eleven. With there being no transfer window squad depth isn't as important as in the FL.
Having an interchangeable pool of twenty something moderate players has never served us well and God knows, we've tried it often enough.

Compare those four with the multitude of also-rans we've had and whose names nobody can remember.

Good question, except that he didn't really have the chance to be a wing back... he was effectively playing as a full-back for most of the time he was on. If I was setting up the team, I would simply ban him from our half. Get him in the opposition's half with an overlapping full-back and then he's a big threat. So what happens? He gets hooked as the overlapping full-back comes on...

I would also say there was no variation, imagination or creation at all from his midfield. Also, a blind man on a galloping horse could see placing Enzio in a defensive role was a MAJOR fault, not rectified till Hartlepool had taken full advantage and peppered our penalty area with crosses. I hope IB's learning curve veers sharply upwards after seeing this plan(?) collapse. Expect transfer requests from Roberts and Enzio.
Enzio’s out of contract next month so won’t need to make a transfer request

Enzio was getting slaughtered down that wing.
You've got your own opinion obviously but he brought the man on and changed shape to stop they're defenders stepping out and creating an overload as they did from kick off, they must have had easily 20 crosses before the substitution. Whether Enzio should have been played there or not there's no excuse for not stopping the cross, I was screaming at the tele SHUT HIM DOWN ENZIO. You could see it coming and it did. That's not IBs fault, neither is the fact his players are shot of confidence in energy and we have hardly any legs in the team. After he changed especially second half they didn't have hardly any space to overload like they were in the first half. Anyone who knows owte about football knows the change he made improved things, not his fault the players are crap. The balance is all wrong and IB knows this and has said so, give the man chance. I'd wager he knows more about tactics, systems etc than we ever will and is obviously not afraid to change it. I can't understand people judging him already it's complete nonsense.

Also everyone in Griffiths back after 4 games when in 2 of them he played a half or not even that. Give the guy a break he doesn't seem that bad anyway, he's certainly been no worse than anyone else.

Some of you need to give your heads a shake, you're unrealistic in your aims.

    That was exactly my point.

Taking young inexperienced loanees from the likes of Liverpool, Villa, Arsenal and Celtic significantly increases the chances of the loan player being successful as all of those examples clearly were.

We've got to looking to grab a couple loan players from championship level clubs like Yates and Grant. You've just got to be selective and have good contacts
Easier said than done for this level.

You're right, IB needs time and his own players but I didn't think subbing Griffiths was fair to the player and leaving Enzio where he was was asking for trouble, I was also screaming at the tele. Both him and Barnett tucked in too narrow rather than marking their men, the crosses kept piling in.
