Thread: Crowley to Mansfield/MK Dons rumours

I believe we are hoping to extend both JJ and Dan's contracts ASAP
Both are happy here but like any of us they have to do the best for their families
Both are capable of playing at a higher level so it wouldn't make a lot of sense for either of them to go to a L2 rival. Especially one like MK where who knows how the change of ownership will play out. We know ourselves that new owners initially welcomed as saviours can turn out to be your worst nightmare
I'm quietly confident that we an persuade them to sign extensions. Fingers crossed

If we have any aspiration to get promoted this year then we should be rebuffing any bids. Especially if it's only Franchise and Mansfield who are interested. **** them both.

MK may have a great stadium but the atmosphere is akin to Darlington's. They'd be better off in a 10000 stadium.

    .
A contract extension would be the ideal solution for Notts because it gives us about 11 months to line up replacements and we would still get a transfer fee. Downside would be them both leaving at the same time

Better to wait for the right players than get the wrong ones in for the sake of getting them early
MK new owners just come in last week, probably got a bit of cash.
What is radar doing if we are not ready to sign replacements straight away if offers come in & we accept. That's the logic behind it. Always looking out to make a few £££s. We all knew the problems since before Xmas last year. Defence, goalie not up to it. Squad not good enough, bare. So, RM has had since then & would have been looking at players long before as well. It's now middle of August & struggling for players

But we're not struggling for players we have 22 Pros with potentially a few more to come in, we can only register 25 players.

We've literally replaced nearly every defender and the goalie?

If we're not struggling for players, why could we not fill the bench against Shrewsbury and have youth players making up the numbers?

Reynolds has a pro contract so is part of the squad, age is irrelevant.

Why is it a negative having youth players on the bench? Do you not agree with blooding young players at Notts?

This youth player thing is absolutely baffling. There is genuinely no winning at times.

Oh I long for the days of having 30 plus pros on the books, bottom of the league, owner getting his winkler out then sobbing on the BBC, then saying he’s selling us and a nice cherry on the cake to get relegated into non league, they were the days.
